Clear_Client_of_“Failed”_Status
Suidae 5/16/2007 8:27:01 PM
I recently updated to WSUS V3 without too much grief. I have a client system
that experienced an error will installing an update. Rebooted the system and
tried the process again with the same error result. I finally installed the
patch manually with no problem. My question is how do I clear the “Failed”
status of the update. I tried renaming the WindowsUpdate.log and starting
fresh but the system is still flagged as “Failed”

I had a similar problem I deleted the contents of the SoftwareDistribution
folder and rebooted. It cleared the failed flag the next time in checked in
with the server.
