WSUS3 and copying 'approved for install' setting between groups
wickman 6/1/2007 6:36:03 PM
I'm sure I'm just missing this so please be kind....

I have a TEST computer group and I've approved for install many patches for
this group. I test my patches and am now ready push those patches to another
PROD computer group. Is there any way to copy the approval from the TEST
group to the PROD group en masse rather than going into each patch one at a
time. Thanks for any pointers.

There was such a tool in the WSUS V2 API Samples and Tools kit, but I do not
know if it'll in a WSUS v3 environment.

The other choice you have is to build a custom view of updates filtered by
"Approved for TEST group".

Then do a SELECT ALL and Approve them for the PROD group.
