You'll want to confirm that the configuration of your new replica server was *identical* to the test server you originally sychronized from.
If there is additional products, classifications, languages, or express installation files enabled on the "replica" server that are not configured on the upstream server, they will be addressed when you un-replica the server.
This also presumes that the replica server did, in fact, download *all* of the available content from the (upstream) test server.
Can you provide some specific examples of updates that were downloaded from the (upstream) test server, and are now being downloaded from microsoft.com again?
