WSUS Deployment - start from scratch Super Boobahlicious 7/11/2007 3:38:02 PM We have a WSUS and currently we are autoamtically approving all updates classifications... We have already some 100 client servers connected to WSUS. Before we deploy to rest of our systems we want to start from scratch... Is there a way to trash the existing database and sync a new one? Before we syn we will then only allow Automatic approval of Secuitry patches as a start.. Please advise Thanks

Simply uninstall WSUS, check the options to delete the database (you can keep the content if you wish), and then reinstall WSUS. Since the database no longer exists, the installer will create a new SUSDB database. If you're using the Windows Internal Database, you may also need to force the uninstallation of WID. The WSUS installer is flaky about using an already installed WID.
