I have a half dozen machines failing on some updates for MS Office 2003
updates KB934445, KB934180 & KB934041
Log file is showing error 0x80070643.
I've stopped the WUAU service, removed the software distribution folder and
still have the problems.

What I found out this morning was that I uninstalled the Office viewers
for Word and Excel. No need to have the viewers if the full Office
product was installed in my book. After removing the viewers, KB934180
for MS Office installed OK, and since the viewers were no longer on the
system, the other 2 updates were not needed, so the machines showed that
they were up to date. I have not tried to reinstall the viewers and
updates to see if they will install correctly, but again the machines
should not need the viewers if they have full Office.
