WSUS 2: How to set Schedule Update time
"Jerald Leung" <jeraldleungNOSPAM[ at ]gmail.com> 6/15/2007 10:11:37 AM
Hi all,

I am going to setup my WSUS 2.0 SP1 client to automatically download and
install the update using the following AD GPO.

Location : Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows
Components > Windows Update
Setting: Configure Automatic Updates
Properties: Enable / 4 - Auto download and schedule the installation

But I would like to set the schedule at 17:10 / 17:20 (mainly for testing)
but not the exactly hourly time at 17:00 / 18:00 / 19:00. Can I do this and
how?

Also, some of my testing PCs cannot do the automatic update at the scheduled
time. Where can I found the related log file for reference? and I need to
use the command "wuauclt /detectnow" to activate it.

Thanks!!!!

The client GPO setting is only setup for whole hour increments.

The client logs are located at %windir%\WindowsUpdate.log
