Upgrade Questions "Barrycuda" <barrycuda[ at ]newgroup.nospam> 6/27/2007 9:34:33 PM I have several questions hopefully someone can help me. I have 2 wsus 2.0 servers, the first one downloads the updates, and the 2nd one gets it updates from the first one. I am using the 2 different wsus servers so that we can separate the admin of the 2nd server to just affect client workstations, the first server is used to push updates to servers. I use different GPO settings for these. In addition the primary wsus server is also running HP insight manager which runs on its own copy of MSDE. 1. I am assuming you have to upgrade the Primary server first? 2. What will the upgrade to the other MSDE databases on that server? 3. There is an option to install a downlevel server as a replica, does this mean that it will take all the approval settings from the first one? I just want it to get the updates from the first server. 4. Any other issues? Thanks for the help

It means that you can use a WSUS v2 server as a replica server if the upstream server is WSUS 3. Or, in other words, it means you have to upgrade the upstream server first. > 4. Any other issues?
