i'll look into this further.

It would be nice for an automatic "approve non-reboot updates". We have our main server group set to no automatic approval, and manually approve non-reboot updates as they arrive (Loving WSUS 3.0's new email alerts for new updates!)

We have more machines running Windows Server than our critical server group. Our blackberry server, for example, is not regarded as a critical uptime server, so gets all updates pushed to it automatically. This means a copy of the update is indeed on the WSUS.

Correct. In this group, it wasn't approved for install. When the descision was made to offline the machines and perform teh update, it was fairly immediate. Which means we didnt have time to switch it to auto, then wait for it to fetch it from WSUS, we had to download a copy from MU/WU. Not a major concern, 300mb isn't a huge ammount of b/ w, but the thought that counts. :)
