There are many who can help but they will need a tiny bit more info to work with.
There is a deployment guide, an opps guide and a quick start. I am not sure what you mean by a white paper but it sounds like it is neither of the above.
First have you configured the clients to report to the server and how have you done it. Full detail please including URLs for the WSUS server, group policy settings etc.
Have you waited 24 hours for the clients to show up. It usually only takes an hour or so but depends upon how you have set things up.
Also get the Client Diagnostic tool and running it on a client, post the output here. see http://www.microsoft.com/technet/windowsserver/wsus/20/downloads/tools/default.mspx
see http://wsusinfo.onsitechsolutions.com/articles/013.htm for SharePoint tips and for SBS see http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=28c43d57-2e15-47b2-9a6f-1514aa3ed05f&displaylang=en -- Dave Mills There are 10 type of people, those that understand binary and those that don't.

Thanks to Jeff in another thread the tools are still at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/windowsserver/wsus/20/downloads/tools/default.mspx
But could not find them any other way. They are WSUS 2 but the client stuff is the same for 3. Grab em while you still can.
