Lawrence,
1. Nothing in the application log 2. The log indicates synchronizations are successful (including the scheduled ones that apparently migrated from WSUS 2.0). But the question remains why is the configuration wizard indicating the synchronization was canceled? 3. Yes, I'm certain there is no requirement for proxies. WSUS 2.0 didn't use a proxy, no other PC in the building uses a proxy. 4. Yes, WSUS is fully capable of resolving DNS hostnames - WSUS 2.0 on the same server had no issue doing it.
It won't let me past - can I just close the configuration wizard and configure it manually through the MMC?
