I installed WSUS 3.0 and setup a Laptop / Workstation and Server group. It
finds my machines and I can put them in the group I want (this is in a test
enviroment, only 2 machines). I see my laptop but there is a yellow
exclamation point. I double click on it to get into reports and when I click
Status on any update I get:
No events are available. This may be because the client has not yet sent the
event or the events have been purged from the server. Please refer to
%WINDIR%\WindowsUpdate.log on ny5500.dti.com for details
I looked in the file and dont see anything unusal.
The other question is when from within internet explorer on NY500 PC I
click update it seems to be going to Microsofts site. I dont know what I
setup wrong so any help is appreciated.
