Windows 2000 showing not yet reported

I am using WSUS and updating automatically with AD. All of my Windows 2000
client computers are showing not yet reported. They show in the list but
never updates.

TLS,

I had the same issue, downloaded the Automatic Updates 3.0 client from here:

http://download.windowsupdate.com/v7/windowsupdate/redist/standalone/WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe
and I created a script to silently install it remotely to each Windows 2000
Server and Professional machine using psexec from the PSTools suite. Then
the clients starting reporting properly.

Repair Steps:

1. Verify Windows Update and BITS Service settings:

a. Click Start->Run, type "services.msc" (without quotation marks)
in the open box and click OK.

b. Double click the service "Automatic Updates".

c. Click on the Log On tab, please ensure the option "Local System
account" is selected and the option "Allow service to interact with
desktop" is unchecked.

d. Check if this service has been enabled on the listed Hardware
Profile. If not, please click the Enable button to enable it.

e. Click on the tab "General "; make sure the "Startup Type" is
"Automatic". Then please click the button "Start" under "Service
Status" to start the service.

f. Repeat the above steps with the other service: Background
Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS)

2. Re-Register the Windows Update DLLs

<< run the Batch file “SVCHostERR.bat” – or manually perform
steps in this section.

a. Click on Start and then click Run, type: cmd and click OK.

b. In the command window type "REGSVR32 WUAPI.DLL" (without
quotation marks) and press Enter.
When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in WUAPI.DLL succeeded"
message, click OK.

c. Please repeat these steps for each of the following commands:
REGSVR32 WUAUENG.DLL
REGSVR32 WUAUENG1.DLL
REGSVR32 ATL.DLL
REGSVR32 WUCLTUI.DLL
REGSVR32 WUPS.DLL
REGSVR32 WUPS2.DLL
REGSVR32 WUWEB.DLL

through a WUAUCLT run.
