BTW, the new 2003 Server points to the 2000 server for DNS and I'm able to use nslookup -ls local.domain.com and pull the zone so transfers are fine.
nslookup -norec -type=SOA local.domain.com answers with the 2000 Server's name and IP.
Also, the reverse zone pulls perfectly.
