EventID 4521 after W3K2SP2
Jonathan Huber 5/8/2007 3:26:01 AM
I am reposting htis question because I think it is getting ignored as a reply
to an existing thread.

I am seeing the DNS Event ID 4521 problem after installing W2K3SP2. A posted
solution is to change the "Load zone data on startup" from "from active
directory and registry" to "registry". The twist here is that the zone in
question is at a customer who has their external (real) domain in use as the
AD domain (Pre-existing setup - I didn't do it!). All was well enough before
SP2. I am a bit concerned about the recommendation to change from "from
active directory and registry" to "registry". What exactly is this going to
do? What will I lose if I make this change? The environment has 2 AD servers
and workstations that of course are set to register in DNS.
