Windows DNS CNAME Record with a "." in it DHamblin 7/12/2007 6:52:04 PM I need some help with a DNS issue. Our existing domain name is rajones.com; which is also outside domain name for website. So, we have a DNS entry for "WWW" that points to the web server so when users type "WWW.RAJONES.COM" they get the corp website. Due to new owners, our web site will be "WWW.OYSTAR.RAJONES.COM". I need to have a similar record to the above "WWW" pointing to the web server except it needs to be "WWW.OYSTAR". I have not found a way to create a CNAME Record with a "." in it, when you type the "." in the CNAME creation window it ignores it. Does anyone know how to get around this? -- Thanks, Dave Hamblin
