Windows Server 2003 SP1 - although it has been running without incident for a
year, the DNS service has stopped twice in the last two days without any
explanation recorded in the event log. In each case I have had to manually
restart the service.
The system event log records:
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7034
Description: The DNS Server service terminated unexpectedly.
A search of the support.microsoft.com and a general google search did not
reveal any solutions. Any help about how to diagnose and prevent the cause of
this problem would be very welcome.
