Network not recognizing new server name
lfheb 4/30/2007 1:46:02 AM
I currently have a one-server network of around 30 computers; and I am
running SBS 2003 on that one server. I recently upgraded to another server
to run as a NAS... running Storage Server 2003 R2.
I following all configuration steps when performing the install of the new
NAS, yet for some reason, my client computers are NOT PINGING THE NEW
SERVER'S NAME. I can ping it using it's IP Address, just not the name. What
do you suggest?

Thanks,
Luke

Hello lfheb,

Please post an ipcomfig /all from your SBS and the new server. Sounds that
your DNS configuration is the problem.

Best regards
