Recovery Identify after removing it from Outlook Express
I removed an email identity and with it all email folders message associated
with it. I then created an new identity with the same name. Anyway I can
recovery all my old email/folders ???
I know it was a stupid thing to do.

Custom Color of tags
Is it possible to customize the color of tags? I may have missed it, but in
the customize dialog box the first couple of columns show a symbol in three
colors. I would like to be able to add more colors. That way I can be
consistant with tag use. I have a daily diary that I record work. It would be
nice to be able to tag all clients with the same symbol - different color.

My strategy for synchronizing additional files that I keep in OneNote folders
I have consolidated all of my reference and project files into the same
set of folders that I use for OneNote files. Naturally, OneNote has no
clue that they are there. I recently got a desktop again because my aging
laptop wasn't keeping up any more. I synchronize my laptop and my
desktop.
For the OneNote files I synchronize the accepted OneNote way. I moved all

25K 1 page .doc file bloats to 200K when Inserted as Printout to OneNote 2007
I took a recent post (see below) as a random text example for some
OneNote testing. I pasted the paragraph into Notepad and the file was
2KB. Pretty small. I then pasted the same file into Word and it was
12x bigger at 25K. I then Inserted the file as a Printout (image) and
that increased the filesize 200K. I appears that each page printed to
OneNote takes up 200K. I then printed the ....

Links keep wanting to open a Notebook or Section separately
Lately, about half of the time when I click a link to a different
location within OneNote, it asks me if I want to open the Notebook or the
section. The problem is that the notebook which contains the linked-to
paragraph or page is already open in OneNote. Naturally, it is not the
current page but OneNote should just jump to the linked to page rather

unfiled notes folder got moved
I somehow seem to have moved the unfiled notes folder - it is now showing up
in my work folder.. when I select stuff to go to one note, it creates and
"unfiled" section in my work notebook.
I'd really like to fix this....any help is appreciate...

As a project leader I have created a number of custom tags for use in a
shared notebook. Since the tags preferences.dat file is local on each shared
user's machine how do I make sure those tags are available, used and mean the

Asking Again: "applystationery" command switch ?
I've asked before, but so far no one's chimed in with an answer. Could one

My friend and I recently upgraded to Office 2007 and added OneNote 2007.

Beginner ON 2003 hyperlinks question
Sorry, I'm a bit of a beginner with OneNote 2003. Can I add a hyperlink to
text or graphics, I was expecting something like the add/edit hyperlink
functions of Word/Outlook 2003? So far the only way I've been able to insert
hyperlinks is to type the url onto the page.
However, in the 'Helpful tips' section Microsoft has included text with

List of bugs that really, REALLY should be fixed in a service pack
Here is my list of things that really need to be fixed in the first
service pack for OneNote 2007. Please only add things to this list that
are really bugs in this current version that would be appropriate to fix

I would like to see One Note offer the option to view print page breaks in
auto mode. That way our inking doesn't get cut up when printed. This is a
feature many, many, many tablet pc'ers would like to have seen in 2007. Its
an issue that comes up in the forums all the time.

Will I run into problems using ON with Word 2003? I'm concerned

hyperlink management
I'd be interested to know what other are doing manage hyperlinks.
For example, my notes tend to be organized by source document, so I use
hyperlinks to connect ideas. For more complicated ideas, I create a "table
of contents" page -- a page of hyperlinks that are related so I can organize

Configuration routine problem after OneNote2007 install
I just installed a full version of OneNote 2007. I deleted the trial
version of ON2007 rather than attempt to upgrade. The deletion process
took 20 minutes, an unusually long time. The installation took the same

One Note 2003 appears in Task List but not using it
My laptop has started to run slowly and freezes whilst in the middle of doing
mundane tasks like printing docs from MS Word, Adobe Acrobat (pdf). I
usually only have 1 or 2 programs open at any time but when it freezes and I

Migrating Autocorrect of ON 2007 between computers?
Hi,
I just upgraded to a new laptop, so I need to migrate my Autocorrect entries
from my old PC, which has ON 2007, to my new one, which also has ON 2007. I
was unable to find a Knowledge Base article on point (they all refer to
previous versions of Office or Windows). Can someone tell me how to do this?

Best way to add borders in onnnote 2007?
Hi. Right now, every time I make a note in 2007 onenote, I hit the
table button and make a one row one column table so that my note as a
small gray border. This just helps keep my notes separate. Is there
a better way? I haven't found any "macro" capability that would let
me animate this task..
