Is there a way to...
(using two screens) have one page from One Note on one screen, and another,
different, page on the other? I've tried running two instances of One Note
to do it, but I guess programmers have become wiser over the years and
realized that most people don't want two instances of one program so the
action of starting the program again will merely highlight the active
program in the taskbar.

Is it possible to create 'nested tasks'
I would like to be able to create 'nested tasks' within OneNote - for example
a 'Major project' could consist of several 'Mini projects' which in turn
could consist of several 'Next Actions'. I think what I want is a
combination of customised note flags and the outlining tool - I would like to
be able to collapse/expand these nested tasks into their appropriate levels,
yet I need the no...

Displaying portrait mode on a projector
I have a faculty member who uses OneNote to write and display his notes
during class. He would prefer to use portrait mode to do this, but we can't
figure out how to get that mode to display correctly on a projector. He's
using an IBM Thinkpad Tablet
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Outlook 2003 not working correctly after OneNote 2007 installation
For almost a week, Outlook 2003 has been nearly unusable. I can receive and
send e-mails, but with many limitations as noted below. I realize that it may
just be a coincidence that I recently installed an Office 2007 application,
but previously I had not had any problems with my Office 2003 Professional
installation. The other Office applications appear to be unaffected.

Outlook 2003 suddenly cannot sign onto mail server
Hey, just out of the blue today my Outlook cannot sign into my Yahoo email
account to retrieve (or send) my email. I've checked my SSL settings and the
sockets. I've changed and updated my password. I've deleted and then added
the account, but I still cannot get into Yahoo with Outlook. Does anyone
have any idea why this might happen? -thanks!...

Windows logo+S opens new Onenote window
When I use the windows logo +S to capture a clipping, Onenote automatically
opens a new Onenote window, eventhough I have a window open. Is there a
setting where I can prevent this from happening and have the clipping appear
in the unfiled of the window I have open?
Thanks....

Side Note problem and suggestion
Side Notes make it easy to quickly write something down and get back to
work.
Great, but why should I have to press Alt+Tab (or hit the mouse) just to
return to my work? When I close the side note I'm back to the app I was
using but it's not "active" until I Alt+Tab.
Anyone know why this is?
Also, instead of just Atl+F4, ON should give users the option to use the Esc
key
to close side...

Expand the range of colors available to text in onenote.
I am a medical student and nearly all school materials are in powerpoint or
word format. I would like to use onenote to take and organize the majority
of my notes. Trying to convert word docs and powerpoint presentation
material into onenote creates problems that could easily be corrected.
First, many materials use fonts with custom colors. If they are copied and
pasted into onenote ...

Major Missing feature in OneNote 2007: Grouping items (text, graphics, ink)
Group images (scans) and ink in Onenote
Mick McDonald Date: Fri, 25 Feb 2005 07:11:07 -0800
I receive many hand-written notes with sketched plans on them. I have
started using Onenote to keep track of these by scanning them and then
notating/highlighting the image. The problem comes when the image is
resized for better viewing or moved. Then my notes and highlights are

OneNote's Send to Word function turns ink into Grahpic and displaces INK
Test:
(1) image placed into OneNote
(2) ink written on top of image
Send to Word function used (Word 2003) in my case.
The resultant Word file found the ink coverted to a graphic and
entirely displaced from the graphic.
Seems like Send to Word functionality in OneNote doesn't include INK.

Print to Onenote 2003
I've heard of a printer driver that allows printing directly to Onenote (I
think this is part of 2007 by default). It's contained in the Microsoft
Educational Pack for students. I've downloaded the pack but it appears to be
designed only to work with Windows CE, I've got XP Home on my desktop.
Is this tool available seperately anywhere and will it run on XP? I don't
see why it should be...

Just for the fun of it, what else can I show people?
Hi everyone! I keep a list of "things to show off" about my tablet PC, so
when people ask they can really see the difference between it and a regular
laptop. A lot of it is software-based, but my list includes:
Inserting extra lines into a ON page
Snipping tool 2.0
Sending a page to ON for highlighting and marking up
Searching within handwritten notes in ON
Ink Art 1.3
Converting handw...

Audio Timestamping Stopped Working...it skips around
I've been using OneNote 2003 for two semesters. Last semester, worked fine.
This semester, it worked fine until about halfway through. Then I started
noticing:
1. The audio counter adds new recording time in the total amount field
while I'm recording, but when I hit the stop recording button, the total time
displayed for the page's recording jumps back to a shorter time. (e.g.

stable handwriting on stationary using tablet pc
Our staff uses a form (or "stationary") and we fill in with collected
information. We find that the notes seem to move about and do not stay
where they should, especially if we send files as attachments - needless to
say clarity is lost. How do I get my handwriting to remain stable? Is there
a way to set defaults for one and only one "container."
Thanks,

Onenote 2007 Stopped responding and deletes active page
I'm running Onenote 2007 on a Toshiba Tablet M400 on Vista Enterprise. in
the past couple of days, Onenote 2007 has stopped respondng. The problem is
that it deletes the active page when it does this. Is there any way to
recover these "missing" pages?
And an even better question, why is Onenote 2007 deleting the active page
when it does this?...
