Office 07 Pro: OneNote Not Included -- AddOn Pricing..?
When I purchased Office 2007 Pro, I didn't realize OneNote wasn't part of
the suite. I've found it for purchase between $80-$100. Does anyone know
if it's available for purchase at a lower price if you already own a version
of Office07? Couldn't find anything myself, am hoping I missed it and
someone here knows -- thanks!

Side Note Back to Side Note
Once I close a Side Note in ON 2007 and it goes to the Unfiled Notes area I
seem to be unable to get it back into the floating side note format. I know
how to open it into a separate window and put it "always on top", but it is
not in the nice compressed window that it had before. Can I take the note
back to side note format?

OneNote 2007: Snipping adds the wrong URL for multiple IE tabs
On Windows XP, if I have multiple tabs open in IE7, and I use Win+S to snip
part of a webpage to OneNote, the wrong URL gets added below the image. It
always uses the URL of the page in the first tab you opened, not of the
actual tab where you snipped the image. Is there a workaround for this?...

OneNote Cannot Sync
Hello,
I sync ON2007 accross three computers - 2 Vista, 1 XP SP2. The file
is stored on Windows 2003 SP2, WSS Sharepoint Services 3.0 - document
library. All but the XP SP2 are on an AD Domain.
This is the second time I've gotten the following error on 1 section

Question about OneNote API
Hello,
The old 2003 api did not allow you to enter an object at the current cursor
location. Do you know if the new API for OneNote 2007 allows for this?

Excel in OneNote - Binder
I would like to have an excel sheet as a page in OneNote - is it possible to
define a new OneNote page to be entirely an excel sheet, without any of the
OneNote functionality etc... just Excel ?
I'd like to keep some excel sheets nicely located along side my notes within
the OneNote structure.
Presumably this can't be too difficult - has this been done ?

IT Planning @ Major College
I'm in the IT Planning group at a major DC college and we are looking for a

Quiet Crashes
I'm getting occasional crashes with OneNote. There's no obvious link with
what I'm doing, except that I'm almost always typing in a text box at the
instant it crashes. I loose data back to the last check point to its cache -
usually not more than a sentence or two. The program restarts as if it had
quit normally.
Normally when Windows Apps crash, it offers to send a report back to

OneNote Document History
Hi,
Is it possible to review a revision history of documents and/or section in
OneNote 2k7? My company is exploring using OneNote to replace our wiki and
the change history of wiki is a feature that we really fear losing in the
change to OneNote. Hopefully this functionality is there and I have just
failed to find it.

Keyboard settings changes when using OneNote 2007
Hi, I find that certain characters on the keyboard seem to be mapped
differently in OneNote than in any other application/than they should be.
*Note I'm UK-based*.
For example, shift+2 should give me ", but I get @ instead.
Shift+3 should be £, but I get #
Shift+' should be @. but I get "
# gives me \
There are a handful of others as well.
Can someone tell me why this is happening and...

Note container background
Does anyone know if it's possible to have the shaded background for each note
container in 1Note 2007 ? I got used to the look of it in 2003 and it really
seems to help pull related things together on the page - but it seems to have
gone in 2007, with no text background colors or related features either.
Best I can do so far is draw a box round it, which helps, but is far more

Onenote Mobile
After having no problems with Onenote 2007 Beta TR etc, I suddenly have
become big problems after installing Vista.
Problem is actually that the onenote-file on my WM5 phone does not appear
(nor sync) on my PC.
I have tried to reset my WM5 phone and reinstall Onenote mobile, without any
change.
Any suggestions, anyone? I love this app!

Audio Search
When enabling the audio search function, there's a warning about regional
accents / languages affecting search quality.
So, for audio purposes, is my setting of "English (UK)" going to mean that I
am getting the audio search with a UK 'Oxford / BBC English' understanding ?
Or am I going to have to try and effect a Seattle accent in order for audio
search to work best ?

Faking styles
Like many other people, I miss the presence of styles in Onenote 2007,
so I use AutoHotKey to run a script which kind of gives the effect of
styles.
The script I have for Heading1 and Heading2 (achieved but pressing

Have license key but no disc to reinstall OneNote 2003. Help?
OneNote 2003 got wiped from my machine (long story). I have the product
license key - I just need the full version of the program (not the 60-day
trial). I don't have a disc -- my computer was a refurb and didn't come
w/any discs. :(

Ink recognition in smartphone?
What I want: I'm looking for an EV-DO revision A mobile Verizon smartphone
with a touch screen that I can both ink on and read ink from my sync'd
OneNote files from my tablet PC and synchronize with ACT! contact management

Permitting read only access to a notebook
I am planning to use OneNote as a knowledgebase tool and initially at least
want to restrict users from being able to add or modify the notebook.
I cannot see how this is possible, I only appear to prevent access totally
by password protecting each section.
Am I missing something?
