Setting Default Notebook Path with Onent12.ADM
I'm attempting to configure a network share as the default location for
OneNote 2007 notebooks. In the administrative template for group policy,
under Tools | Options... Save, I'm setting the Notebook Root value to
\\servername\OneNote\%Username%. When I look at the setting in OneNote, it
shows exactly the same value - in other words, it did not resolve the
username to a folder with th...

Feature request - Web clipping
I routinely use the screen clipping feature to take note of info on a web
page. Honestly, after using this feature for a week I adopted ON 2003 as an
essential piece of computer software. I no longer need to have a pad of paper
and pencil sitting next to my computer keyboard (which seemed crazy even back
then).
So, here is my question/feature request. Why did ON 2007 include options

Cut and paste from Web / Highlight shortcut / Easier titles / Outl
A couple of things I'd like to see changed/added:
* When cutting and pasting from Web pages, OneNote loses the separation
between paragraphs. And because there's no indentation of the first line, the
paragraphs run together and are much harder to read. Can OneNote keep the
separation between paragraphs just as it was on the original Web page when
cutting and pasting?
* I mark up docu...

I have an existing notebook that contains sections are that are considered
"Draft"
or "Company Confidential" and would like to watermark these pages before

Migration of trial to Office suite
Hi,
I have the trial version of OneNote 2007, which expires at the end of April.
I plan on buying the Student and home edition of Office 2007, which contains
OneNote 2007.
Will my existing OneNote 2007 notes be preserved, imported and editable,
when I install the Student and Home edition of Office 2007. Are there any
precautionary steps have to take before I do a full install?

Getting Pictures Near Borders
I am trying my hand at making my own templates and find that I cannot get
pictures to get anywhere near the margins. Since these notes would be
printed for a Franklin Planner I'd l ike to be able to post horizontal lines,
pictures, etc., near the margins so that they do not distract me (Laughing,
as if not being able to make stationary wasn't making me distracted enough.)

Formating and Printing to Franklin Covey "Perf Fit" Paper
Franklin Covey markets paper called "Perf-to-Fit" that allows you to print a
page on a normal printer. You then tear at the perferated edges and the
paper is a perfect fit for my classic sized Day Planner.
When using Word I would set the margins as:
Top: 1.5"
Left: 1.0"
Right: 3.0"
Bottom: 1.5"
When I try to set the margins to the above settings on OneNote I ...

OneNote and Section Groups
I’ve been a user from the get-go, and the early single notebook provided me a
place for everything with everything in its place. Until today. I decided
that it was time to dump many of my research files (MS Word 1994-2007) into
OneNote 2007 and make it my trusted system. Here’s what I did:
In Windows Explorer, I opened a folder as a Notebook in OneNote. Thankfully,
I made a copy fi...

Can't Quit Onenote
Hi,
I've been seeing a very strange behavior with my Onenote of late.
I'm running 2007 and Vista -- everything is a fresh install. I see the
problem on more than one computer.
After Onenote has been running a while (I usually leave it running
for days) it will hang. So I kill it. Vista eventually kills the
window. When I then try to restart Onenote it complains that I don't
have permi...

Is OneNote for me?
I am currently trying to figure out how to set up a database that stores
information about publications that are produced in our office. There are
many steps to the publication process which include sending the pub to
various people for edits and signatures, tracking where the pub is and who
has/hasn't seen it, creating reports and pdf files of the completed
publications. I have an Acc...

onenote '07 duplicates
My OneNote upgrade decided to go into my documents and make a few copies of
folders I had, so that it could claim them as its own ("OneNote Notebooks"
folder that it created on its own). Now, when I try to get the parent
directory which houses this AND my actual folders to be the primary location,
it just goes to the OneNote Notebooks directory as the only one it'll accept.

OneNote Add-Ins
In the options pane, there's an Add-In list - with nothing in it. It looks
like there's nothing available add-in wise from Microsoft at present. Is
this right ? Is something planned - if so, then what ? Would these be paid
for things ? Are there currently any third party add-ins available ?
An internet search doesn't yield much on this, so I'd like to see if anyone

How to improve note flags
Apart from the support for the tablet pc, noteflags and their manner of
implementation is for many users the most important feature in OneNote.
Perhaps operating on the misguided theory, "If it ain't broke, don't fix
it," MS hasn't done anything to enhance note flags qualitatively.
(Quantitative improvements include the indexed search for note flags and

bogus template.
