Help with synctoy and OneNote Table of Contents
I am currently using OneNote 2007 on my desktop and my laptop. It works
great! the sync feature rocks! But here is my problem. I recently installed
Synctoy to keep my pictures, documents, and music in sync between my laptop
and desktop. When I run the sync tool, it keeps trying to write OneNote
Table of Contents.onetoc2 files to my laptop.
Does anyone know what these are and if there ...

OneNote 2007 is adding whitespace to top of notes
Hello,
I am having a problem with OneNote 2007 adding lots of extra
whitespace to the top of some of my notes. I used to take notes using
one very long page, expanding the length of the page as my lecture
went on. I then switched over to letter sized pages to try to prevent
this whitespace bug from occurring. When the whitespace gets added it

How can I group text blocks, drawings, whatever together so that when one of
them gets scrolled everything gets scrolled, or when I move one item, the

Purpose of Offline Cache files

created and used within my user's local settings directory. I have a very

Logbook / journal keeping question
Journal keeping is my goal. A detailed account of my daily activities is what
I hope to create... and then - have this software program allow me to view

Sent to Onenote tag in outlook?
I use the send to onenote option a lot while working with my emails. That
way I save all the stuff at one place.
The problem i'm facing is that over a period of time when I go back to my
inbox, I cant tell if the mail is saved to onenote already.. Sometimes i end
up hitting the send to onenote 2/3 times just cos i dont rememberif ive
saved the mail already.

OneNote's Files - Moving and using on another computer
I had originally created a OneNote Notebook on one computer and changed the
default directory to c:\data, which is where I keep all my data files that
will need to be backed up. I am trying to copy this file to another computer

Two Copies of OneNote
I have a copy of OneNote at work and at home. I would like to share the
information between the two but have not figured out a good way to do that.
There is no import/export feature. I have tried opening sections, but they do
not replace the existing ones, so I end up too many sections. I would
appreciate any ideas someone would have.

cannot open OneNote section in OneNote2003

Customized tags resets itself
Sometimes my customization of tags gets reset to default. It happens
sporadically and I have to recustomize my tags. Anybody know the reason for
this and how to make sure the customization remains intact?
Is there a way to save several versions of customization?
How could a customization be transferred to another computer?
I'm using ON 2007 Trial.

Attachment drag-and-drop
I'm using Outlook 2003, OneNote 2007 and windows XP pro.
I can drag and drop email attachments (such as excel files, etc...) from
Outlook to OneNote.
(i) when I 'drop' into OneNote, can I set OneNote to stop asking me if I

where do i find a needed "converter" for my onenote 2003?
i have a full version of onenote 2003 i paid 110.00 for, over half of the
tabs wont open ,and states " this section is from a different version of
onenote and cannot be open, your version cannot load this file , but a
converter may be available on the Downloads on Office online Web site, the
question is how do i find this converter, or how do i open this ? i

highlighter
When one wants to highlight a word, you mark the word with the mouse
and one can hardly make a straight highlight.
And the results looks ugly.
Maybe ON should restrict any deviant drawing and automatically make the
highlight straight.
Sounds logical to me.

Brackets
Word has the ability to create large brackets that cover multiple lines - you
can then put a note about a group of lines of text.
Is there a way to do this in OneNote? My only thought is to draw the
bracket on the page with my pen... But my question in the other post regards
that the drawing won't move with the text....

ON2007 Trial Version Installation Problems

OneNote Mobile will not install on Windows Mobile 2003 SE smartpho
When I try to install OneNote Mobil 2007 to my Windows Mobile 2003 Second
Edition Version 4.21.1088 (Build 14132) Sprint PPC6601 smartphone, I get the
error "OneNote mobile supports all devices running at least Microsoft Windows

A couple of basic questions
1. When I click on help, I get to a screen which lacks the usual index
function - It's in the mode of a Q & A format, and I can't always find the
answers. Is there a "normal" Office type help function?
2. I know how to create tagged items. Now I want to gather and summarize
them. Chris Pratley cited this as one of ON's most powerful features. But

Attachment icons are too BIG
I love the ability to attach small files to a One Note page, however find it
limiting to some degree. Most of what I do involves making lists of various
types. When I go to attach a file, I don't always want the icon for that
file to be quite so big. Is there any way to knock the icon size down to
bite size?...

I love the email function that includes both the one-note version, and the
mht version. I have one copy of One Note that I cannot keep on more than one
machine at work. Despite the request, this is not software the company is

Insert PDF as printout
Several of us have OneNote 2007 and Acrobat 8 on Windows XP. We are unable to
insert PDFs as printouts. It stops loading at the beginning and then prints
the pdf document to the default printer. The progress bar doesn't move and we
have to cancel. Is this a known problem?

How to import background image in OneNote 2007
I'm trying to update a background image via xml, and I keep getting
hrInvalidXML (0x80042001). I've poked through the schema quite a bit,
and I don't find any required attribs or elems which I'm missing.

Can't click on links in OneNote 2007
I'm working with a trial version of OneNote 2007 which is also OEM so no
