OneNote 2007 - Positon of "New Page" tab
Is there a way to customise whether the "New Page" tab appears at the top or
at the bottom of the list of pages?
I currently have OneNote setup so that my page tabs are all listed on the
right hand side. The tabs are listed in chronological order from top to
bottom - the most recent is at the bottom. However the "New Page" tab always
appear at the top, which is counter-intuitive to me b...

Pasting code into OneNote needs improvement
OneNote could be a very useful tool for making notes when browsing a large
codebase, but currently cutting and pasting code typically loses syntax
colouring and worst of all changes the indentation structure! This happens
even if you use the 'keep original formatting' paste option.
As a result I normally use screen captures instead, which cannot be
searched. :-(

End User Licence Agreement
Hi,
The problem I cannot resolve is that I put One Note 2003 on my new Vista
system and activated it, I then thought I would place it in a different
directory so I uninstalled One Note with the add/remove from Vista and then
tried reinstalling it again toa different directory. Seems it wants to be on

Setup problem sharing One Note 2007 folders -- help please
I have two desktops. I want to be able to work with some ON notebooks from
both machines. We have a SBS Server. Created folder on the server copied a
One Note folder from one desktop to that server drive.

Sync problem: Two sections created with PDA name. Only one section
All:
A search did not turn up a reference to this: I have two sections in my
ON2007 that are called by the PDA name. ON has appended a (2) to the second
one and it's this second one that does not show up in the ON on the PDA.
Anyone know how to stop this behavior?

File Inserting
In ON2003, I use to be able to drag-drop a file into my notebook and Onenote
would copy the file into my notebook and place a readable link into my
notebook. As a teacher I find the expectionally useful to organize my
lesson/unit plans. Is there anyways that this can be done in ON2007, either

Pages / Sub-Pages
Is it possible to keep sub-pages associated with the pages that they are
linked to ? So that if I move a page to a different section, the relevant sub
pages also are moved ?
It would also be nice to have an expand / collapse feature for my pages in a
section (hiding / showing the sub-pages) - is this something planned I wonder
or is there a power toy in development ?

I changed back to ON 2003, but cannot get ON to show up on my taskbar (tried
Tools | Options | Other | Will not work, and I cannot get it on my open at

One Note 2007 screen clip link in Firefox
User of One Note 2007. Have moved form IE6 to Firefox.
Want to be able to preserve the website link on a screen clipping (actuated

Unfiled Notes Tab
Hi,
I have moved my "Unfiled Notes Tab" to a sub-folder within another notebook.
How do I move it back out to the default setting (where the tab is not in
any notebook)?
The unfiled notes button at the bottom left area always links to the unfiled
notes tab location within the notebook I had moved it too, and not to the
default section?

OneNote search working like it should?
I'm trying out ON 2007.
I have some notes from other programs I've imported. Some with text like
"meeting:" and "email:" insterted so I could serach for those strings to
find that kind of todo.
When I search in ON for "meeting:" or "email:" it finds them but also finds
every other note with "meeting" or "email", even when I put the search in
quotes (example = "email:").

Printing from OneNote is flawed
Hi
Having read the posts about printing documents from OneNote I would like to
register my vote that you need to be able to add in Page Breaks.
As an IT engineer I use OneNote to keep instructions on how to do things
that I only do occasionally.
If I have to print them for somebody else to use they are rubbish unless I
copy them into Word first and add in page breaks before printing...

outlines/online help
Does anyone know the meaning of the following keystrokes from the help file?
They are under the "using outlines" section. Nothing happens when i try to
use them. I was hoping they would be used to collapse or show all levels
subordinate to the current outline row. I only seem to be able to do this
with the mouse. I don't want to collapse or expand the outline to a
universal level.

Outlook closes when I hit the send and receive button
When I hit send/receive, Outlook closes. When I reopen it, I get the message
that folders were not closed properly, checking for errors. If I open an
e-mail, type a response and hit send, the e-mail gets sent. I just can't
send/receive from the "inbox" page....

I Don't Understand OneNote
Hi,
I played a bit with Evernote, and that made sense but had many limitations.
I thought I'd try OneNote 2007 but it doesn't make sense to me. I've looked
at the Microsoft demo and skimmed a few books, but I can't find a use for it.
But everyone seems to love it. I'm a creative person with millions of ideas

How to retrieve an add-in?
While sorting out an add-ins issue I accidentally removed the Outlook 2007
Onenote add-in ("OneNote Notes about Outlook Items") - a difficult thing to
do accidentally, I know...
Any way I can't find a way to retrieve the add-in. There's no such option
in the add-in menu that I can see. I tried running the install disk to add

Moving from large folder storage to ON
I have developed a system of standard folders for organizing/storing a wide
variety of materials over the last 10 years. The file system is over 30 Gigs
now. It has worked well for some things, poorly for others. OneNote is an
answer to some of the problems but it raises some questions and issues that

Installing Access2003sp2 breaks OneNote2003sp2.
Hello Everyone,
On my tablet, if I install Access2003sp2 on top of OneNote2003sp2, it breaks
OneNote. I figured out that if I unreg then re-reg TCPCS.dll & INKOBJ.dll
the pen writing capability and the app will work.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
