Page to SubPage
Hello,
Is there a way to take a page and make it a subpage? I know I can create a
subpage and move the contents, but I was wondering if there was an easy way
of just converting the page directly?

one of the great features of ON2007 compared to ON2003 is the convenient use
of huperlinks. Here is a suggestion: how about allowing a search for links TO
a given objects (page, paragraph...).
The information would be presented as any other search, (View search results
pane).

Special hotkeys for text-only paste
I'd love to have hotkey for paste + text only. E.g. ctrl-shift-v.
About half the items I paste, I want only text. The other half, I want to
keep source formatting. Since it's 50-50, I don't want to change the
default. Yet, I'm a keyboard fiend, so grabbing the mouse and having to
click the little keyboard icon after a paste seems eternally slow.

Fit in Pane
I often find that I have to fiddle with the zoom and scroll bars to see all
there is in a page, when the page was composed of several tidbits of
knowledge.
I think it would be good to have a Zoom fit to page option, to make sure I
see everything
Another useful tool would be to left/right/centr align all the containers.
Currently if you select CTRL-A all the containers, then try to align,...

Notebook Root
What ever you edit into the notebook root entry on the OneNote GPOs and unse
%username% as a variable, it doesn't work. Bug?

convert to text not active
I just purchased a Tablet PC for my office, that I personally use.
Under the tools menu the convert to text is dimmed - I've tried every thing
suggested on the website I can find. All the service packs/ updates have
been installed. I had professional IT company (one we have used for several
years) set up the tablet. I am at a lost - have anyone else had this happen?

Allow {} [] in searches
Please allow braces & brackets in searches.
I regularly use braces in text to leave little notes to myself while I'm
writing like {flesh this section out}, {verify this}. I can then go back and
search for { to find all these notes before publishing. It's really fast and
useful. I've integrated so much in my writing method that I don't even

Size issues of .one files
I've been having problems with overly large .one files when I recorded
audio for a semester's worth of classes. Now that the semester is
over, I'm trying to shrink my notebooks by deleting the audio files.
I deleted all the audio files in a notebook, but the corresponding
audio files in the cache weren't deleted. Naturally, the size of
the .one files in the save location didn't shrink. W...

OneNote 2007 Doesnt work on my Tablet PC
hello, i upgraded OneNote 2007 on my MotionComputing 1400 Tablet PC.
Everytime i try to write on the page with my pen, i get an installing

Cannot get Onenote 2007 to sync with my Smartphone (Moto Q)
I am soooooo frustrated. I have Office 2007 Ultimate and a Motorola Q smart
phone. I enter notes on the Q and Activesync and the notes do not appear
anywhere on my laptop. Conversely I enter notes on my laptop and put them in
the "Onenote Mobile" notebook and they do not appear on my Q after
Activesynching. I have reinstalled Onenote Mobile twice and still nothing.

Search Slow; Loops; Wrong tags - uninstalled desktop all works..
Hi,
I've been having some serious search problems, I often use the "search
tagged notes" to retrieve action items.
Problems I've had are:
1) very slow search
2) Tagged notes references are wrong, click on one, get another.
3) Recently started having loops. Endlessly see the same tagged notes
scrolling when finding all tagged notes..

Exporting notebook, section and page tabs
Is there some way to selectively export a list of tabs in a notebook so that
I can print file folder labels? Exporting the list to a table would let me
easily print labels and maintain a parallel file in my file cabinet for

time I tried to use it, it asked for a product key which I couldn't find at

1. Is there any way to automatically (or quickly) split a page into
multiple movable segments?

ON 2007 - Sharepoint 2003 - Vista Ultimate, compatible?
I'm trying to share a notebook on a hosted sharepoint site- without success.
ON seems unable to "see" my shared doc libraries (I actually get a login
prompt, when I enter my domain name). I've tried many combinations of path

Changes to handwriting/inking behavior in OneNote 2007
Hi,
I love OneNote and use inking heaviliy on my tablet. I eagerly bought the
2007 version and the first thing I noticed were a bunch of negative changes
(negative from my perspective given the way I used OneNote 2003) to the

Thread threatens to run off the right end of my monitors
Is there any way the "Why doesn't my ON synch" thread can be
truncated? It's now up to 254 >>>s (a slight exaggeration), and has
caused me to buy two new monitors to extend the display. Maybe use
ellipses?

PDFs to OneNote
I have PDFs where, in one document, the pages are sometimes portrait,
sometimes landscape. So, I've been using "Print to onenote" twice for each
document, once with the document in portrait, a second printing with the
landscape. Then I substitute the "sideways" pages with the landscape. This
is cumbersome!
Is there a way to rotate these? Microsoft Document Imaging can do this ...

How do I delete the contact lookup history in Outlook?
In the contacts section I have a long history of addresses that I have looked
up. I would like to reset/delete the information that I have in there. I
can't seem to figure out how to delete this history. When I delete on the
contact it does nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does the calculator work with handwriting/ink?
Is there a way to get the new calculator functionallity in OneNote 2007 to
work with handwriting/inking? When I read about the calculator
functionallity, I thought they were talking about handwriting given they call
it "napkin math," but up until now, I have only been able to get it to work
when I type. Seriously, who types on a napkin?

Hi all, I just found side-notes and wow, it just made being a student
easier. Is there a way to open Side Note in an Internet Explorer
explorer bar, like the favorites, or history? This would be easier
than the floating palette, IMHO....

I have an event which requires a liability form be signed by the

Can I transfer ON settings to a second computer?
Question #1: If I want to install ON on 2 or more computers, can I set up all
my notbooks/tabs etc and then save and/or export my customised settings to my
second and third computer and have eveything look identical?
Question#2: If so, what happens when I create a new notebook and/or tabs and
want to zync the newly created notebook/tabs to my other computers. Will this

Difference between Groove zync and One Note Zync
I have been using Groove for some time now and like it because it is vary
simple to keep in zync with all my coworkers. My question is this...how is ON
different then Groove when it come to staying in zync with my coworkers? Does
