Option not working
I running OneNote under Vista, when i access the Option under the Tools menu,
it stop working and closed. I tried to reinstall OneNote, and my Office
installer just stop working......

Scanning documents to Outlook for storage
I've been looking for a good program to store scans of my monthly statements
(bank accounts, credit cards, etc.) and right now I scan them to TIFF, then
convert to PDF and keep them in an encrypted container. This is a lengthy
process with no OCR. OneNote looks perfect for this, my only concern is what
format is uses. From my understanding JPEG images are more easily corrupt
than RAW for...

Error closes my OneNote
When I open my OneNote, error code 0x4C8 pops up. How can I fix this problem.

Onenote Sync
Why does onenote not sync all my notebooks? I have so many notes in many
notebooks and is there no way to take them with me on my ppc?
Its not realistic to first copy all my data to the onenote mobile section.
And even then, everything saved by using the send to on feature gets saved
in the unfiled notebook. So you have to first save to that, then copy from
that to Onenote mobile sectio...

Modify embeded files?
I embed an Excel into OneNote. I open the file, edit and save it. The
modifications are not reflected in the embedded file. Am I doing something

Change appearance of inserted files?
I definitely see the value in having files inserted into the notebooks, as
opposed to the 2003 method. However, I'm wondering if there's any way to
present the link other than as an icon? Or at least to be able to rename
the icon? My preference would be to see a single line of descriptive text
linking to the inserted file, rather than an icon named to match the

Can not install OneNote Mobile (maybe language issue)
I can not install OneNote Mobile to my handheld device.
The automatic installation does is not suggested by oneNote on ActiveSync
connection. And when I try to do the manual installation the installation
button is disabled.
I have a PC with OneNote 2007 - danish language pack.
And then I have a mitac mio a701 with windows mobile 5 - english language
pack.

Screen Clipping Shortcut key
Hi, my shortcut key for screen cliiping (windows icon + s) does not work. I
found an article about changing the registry path to solve it:

How do I transfer onenote license agreement?
I am a consultant and often work on client projects where Onenote would be
extremely helpful. I want to download it and use it on the PC that my client
provides. There is often downtime between clients. How can I use Onenote at
one client site, uninstall it (unregister it) and then use it again at the
next client site without having to purchase an entirely new license?

Still looking for some Calendar features in ON 2003 version with sp2
I am still working with ON 2003. Is there any type of calendar that
integrates with this version where in one can type in certain reminders, or
things to be done on a specific date. Then when one pulls up that month on
the screen, one can see the task or reminder. Thanks for any tips or leads.
I know Outlook has some of this incorporated in its calendar and task

Send to OneNote in FireFox ?
Hi
I use Firefox as my main Browser . In IE there is an icon " Send to OneNote
" , but this is not working in Firefox.
Is it possible to have this option on Firefox ?

OneNote 2003 sections will not convert to 2007??
Some sections from my 2003 version will not convert to the 2007 file format.
Are there some known limitations on what prevents the conversion of the file?
For example, when I'm viewing a 2003 section in 2007 and then click on the
InfoBar to "Upgrade this section" I get the message "OneNote has encountered
a problem and cannot complete this operation"....

Disappearing "Ink"? (cool on paper, but not cool on a tablet PC)
I am having a problem that is making Onenote unusable with my ThinkPad X60
tablet.
When I use the pen & write notes in the Input Panel and then tap Insert,
about 1/3 of the time the text I just wrote disappears & doesn't get placed
in the OneNote page. I simply disappears. I have this problem only with

Copy link between folder does not work
I collect article in pdf, word file, picture and notes. I used to store pdf
file inside OneNote and work on them. Then, since the same file has to appear
in different projects, I was doing copy paste with the link and all was
working fine having the same link in different pages or sections.
Recently, I decided to split the organization of my sections in to different
folders.

Tablet Ink Flashcards program should sync with Mobile 5.0 PDA's
I am a medical student and purchased a new Gateway Tablet PC June 2007.
Microsoft included an Ink Flashcards program with Onenote which has been very
useful in helping me review biological concepts. However, the program does
not allow me to print out the flashcards or to sync it with my handheld PDA
device. The PDA would be the PERFECT device for this purpose.

Can't install OneNote Mobile 2007 on WM5
I've just installed Office and OneNote 2007 on Windows XP. I used to
synchronize OneNote 2003 to my HTC p4350 WM5 phone, but got problems with ON
2007.
ActiveSync 4.5 is working fine and I sync my calendars to Outlook with
USB-conection every day.

New fast tablets and writing recognition

Links get trashed if you move a page in ON 07
If I have a link to a paragraph on a page then move the page, then links
to that paragraph don't work any more. It does not update the links as I
move the page, even when the links are on the same damn page....

Send to Onenote printer and Vista 64
I *bought* OneNote 2007 for this very purpose, and now I found out that this
feature does not work because I'm running Vista 64? How does Microsoft expect
anyone else to bother writing 64bit drivers when they can't be arsed to write
ones themselves?!?!?!

Note container shading and/or visibility
Is it possible to always keep the note containers visible? I love ON, but I
would like to see where one note ends and the other begins without having
mouse over the notes. This way I can add notes on top of other notes and the
text doesn't get all jumbled.
Another solution (which I am not sure you can do) is to allow notes to be

Recommended writing tablets
I am interested in a graphics/writing tablet (not an expensive tablet PC!) -
I have looked at the Adessa Cyberpad and Pegatech One Notetaker and the
Logitech IO. I like the ability to take notes without the computer there but
then sync with the computer later. I definitely want the ability to import it
into Onenote (even if I have to do the OCR with that application and not
OneNote).
