importing OneNote from XPPro computer to Vista computer
just bought "Vista" computer - how do I export and then import OneNote files
- also if it is simple how do I do the same with Outlook stuff, Favorites and

Templates on shared Notebooks
I have a notebook stored on mainframe server shared by multiple people. I
have created a template for a section that I want everyone to use when adding
a new page to the section but I am the only one who can see the template as
it is stored in "My Templates".
How do I make this template the default templete for all users of the
section ?

Collapsing Pages
I have over 50 pages in one Section. Is there a way to collapse pages, so I
can View it , say by Month or other topic, so I don't have to scroll down to
get to the latest pages. Similar to Outlook- where you can collapse and
expand folders.

How do I back up my tags?
I had to restore at one point and lost all of my many tags (which I was using
to group chunks of my inverviews for my Masters). I'd like to back up my tags
seperatly in the future but I haven't been able to figure out how to do this.

OneNote IFilter
In order to get SharePoint Indexer to search .one documents it is necessary
to install OneNote on the Indexing server; but will this work if the server
is running x64 version of SharePoint? OneNote is a 32-bit application so I
am only assuming the IFilter is 32-bit; does an x64 IFilter for OneNote
exist?

(not a web address) in Word I can paste it into OneNone but I can't find any
way of creating one directly in OneNote. Is there a way?...

Urgent---> Lost or Deleted Section in OneNote Notebook
Help!!! I have a notebook set up on a networked drive that is shared by three
computers, each with OneNote on it. One of the sections in my notebook has
disappeared. I don't know how or why it disappeared. It is an improtant
section. None of the other sections are gone. I did not delete it (at least

Is there a bug in the OneNote 2007 API
Hi,
I think there might be a bug in the OneNote 2007 API with the NavigateTo
function. The Function was working perfectly for me until I came across a
scenario by chance. It will not work when I have to of the same exact
templated notebooks open with two different names and try to navigate to
something on a page that comes in both of them. The first notebook, the

Why does my text move unexpectedly?
Occasionally as I'm writing in OneNote 2007 and picking up the pen (e.g., at
the end of the line), one or more characters, not necessarily next to each
other, will unexpectedly jump down the page a line or two. This occurs in
both handwriting & drawing mode. The effect can be undone with a couple of
CTRL-Z's....

cannot write to shared notebook
When I open a shared notebook, I am able to read it but no input is
accepted. 'New page' is also disabled. I can copy files to the shared
folder so I seem to have write access. I then copied the shared
notebook to my local computer, renamed it and copied it back again
under the new name to its original location. After opening the renamed

OneNote 2007 API - Data within InkWords Not loadable by MS Ink class

I'm trying to query for ink in a certain region of a page within
OneNote. My query works ok, and I end up iterating through InkWords,
gathering ink as I go. My strategy was to build a primary Ink object,

can you sync onenote between desktop and laptop?
I am getting onenote 2007 for my office- it will operate on a desktop and
laptop BOTH running xp and hooked to office network by ethernet cable
can I sync between the two with out loosing any data? when I travel I use a
vpn to get on to my office network. assume this would be ok?

fed up! help!
Does anyone also experience "cut-copy/paste" problem in ON2003?
On a page, when I cut/copy a text with ctril+x/c and paste with ctrl+v,
ON does not paste what I just copied/cut, but something else that was
copied/cut.
I should not be the only one experiencing this problem.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Ok. What is the absolute best way to share notebooks via someone else?
I have a friend that lives in another state, and I love OneNote 2007
(notepad was banished after I started using this), but it would help
so much if we could work on the same notebooks and stuff.

OneNote 2007 Updating Page to previous state.

I'm trying to implement transactionality in my app, so I'm trying to
rollback a given page in a OneNote Notebook to a previously persisted
state. In order to do this, (If I understand the API correctly) I

Setting up a Shared Notebook (I have tried everything).
Ok.
I have Microsoft OneNote 2007. I know how to do pretty much everything

Turn off the warning when you open a local file in Onenote 2007?
I'm trying out OneNote 2007 Beta 2 and I love that you can instert hyperlinks
between notes. However, I also often link to files on my computer (I maintain
a large folder hierarchy of research papers in pdf organized by topics) which

OneNote 2007 DeleteHierarchy API - Can you delete Notebooks this way?
On the "What's new for developers in OneNote 2007" website -

The DeleteHierarchy API is documented as
"You can use the DeleteHierarchy method to delete any hierarchy object
(a notebook, section group, section, or page) from the OneNote 2007
notebook hierarchy."
