OneNote Folder File Size
Is there a limit or a point where a OneNote Notebook will not function
properly. I use the program to mange multiple programs and some notebooks
are 300+ mb and have had no difficulty or sluggishness running. I have seen
comments made regarding OneNote not being a document storage database and
would like to know if I am headed for a disappointment. I am a big fan of

OneNote and Internet Explorer
My oneNote will no longer open files that I try to print from Internet
Explorer to One-Note. It says: Files from other programs cannot be opened
in OneNote.
Select a OneNote file. Then, when you click OK, it says: Your request

New hard drive - user states almost all data missing
We have been replacing hard drives on laptops. I have a Onenote user
who told me today most of her Onenote files were missing. Since all
laptop data is stored on servers, I told her that any data should still
be in the folders it was in originally. Files that she specifically

copying information from outlook to onenote
I am trying my best to set up a onenote page, one per person, that tracks
what is happening with that person. For starters I would like to simply copy
in their contact information and any upcoming appointments they have. Should

Can I delete multiple completed "to do" tagged items at once?
I have a large number of "to do" tagged items that are completed. I'd like
to delete them all at once, rather than ctrl-clicking them one at a time.

outline collapse/uncollapse for no reason
I have multiple pages in a section. One page will have a long,
detailed outline a large section of which I will collapse. I will
switch to another page in the section and edit something. When I
return to the page with the outline, it is expanded again. Any
explanations/solutions?...

Highlighting text in a one note print out
I'm trying to use the highlighter pens to highlight text in a one note print
out of a pdf file and I don't have the control to steadily mark up the text
and my highlight goes all over the place. Any suggestions for how to

PowerToy for Transcription
To Whom it May Interest,
Thank you in advance for your time. Is there any possibility of
Microsoft taking on the task of a basic audio transcription PowerToy? I know
that such a tool was developed for OneNote 2003 as a proof of concept by
someone outside of MS using an earlier version of SAPI, but have been unable
to find anyone championing the functionality since then.

Write on a picture in OneNote
I'd like to write and draw on a picture in OneNote and then merge all the
"containers" so the writing is permanently part of the picture (and moves
with the picture when it is moved).
As a workaround I take a snapshot (windows key + s) of the altered picture,
then delete the original picture and markings and replace it with the
snapshot.. This is unnecessarily cumbersome.

OneNote2007 "Insert Screen Clipping" stopped showing pictures.
In MS OneNote2007 on VISTA ... Incerting a screen clipping shows time/ Date &
Link to web page but not the clipping itself ... ie: No Picture .... OneNote
was working when first installed but now is not ... I uninstalled Office
Ultimate and Reinstalled bu still have problem ... Even deleated all
notebooks and started new one ... Screen Clipping Option set to "Copy to

how can i highlight a single note, and send to printer? printing 'selection'
doesn't seem to do it, prints the whole page.
and, how can i enlarge the print size in the printed page. e.g.: i have a 15
line list. i want to print it, and not have it only be 2" X 3" on a full
page.

Somehow I have managed to format ALL my notes to Arial 11.
Is there a global command for format?
If not how did I manage this!
I want to easily chnane all my formats back the original (Arial 12 or 14).
No, backup is not an option - already overwritten!

OneNote 2007 - Message: "Waiting to sync this section." Explain?
In the unfiled notes I get the message "Waiting to sync this section. Another
OneNote program created it but has not yet uploaded the content." I have had
this from day one of installation and have been unable to use this feature
including using screen clipping to unfiled notes....

One Note and Business Contact Manager link
Does anyone know if you can link from a contact in Business Contact Manager
to a page in One Note?
I found the function in the regular contacts, where you can click a One Note
icon in the contact form and hyperlink to the designated page in One Note.
However, this icon link does not appear in a Business Contact form.
Again, I know you can link from a ON page TO either type of contact ...

Default Printer
My new notebook with Vista Home Premium has Office 2007 that includes
onenote. The default printer is set to "Sent to Onenote". If I change this
in the control panel and make my HP inkjet the default printer it will only
work that way until the machine is rebooted then the default printer is
Onenote again. How do I make the HP the default printer permanently?

notes have shrunk really small on screen but print normally. Why?
I think i accidentally hit a shortcut on OneNote which means my notes are so
tiny in the top left corner of the page that ic ant see them. But on print
preview they are sized normally. I think i must have zoomed out a really
long wat but i cant work out how to reverse it....

One Note2k3 ToDo button does not create Outlook2k3 task
My boss states that an Outlook task should be created when he clicks the ToDo
in One Note. He can manually Create Outlook Task from the toolbar option.
Both Outlook (Office) and One Note are SP3.
ps - I don't use the product (yet)...
