Issue with Outlook 2003 and OneNote 2007 trial
Our CEO has been wanting to use OneNote 2007 and got the trial, after
installing and putting desktop search 3.0 on his machine, we started
having issues with Outlook 2003 crashing. When the program would
launch, it would freeze and not load, forcing us to end the task. Upon
rebooting we would be a message saying "Outlook was unable to close

Note container colors
Does anyone know how to change the color of a note container and/or its border?

OneNote 2003 Trial SP2 - Changing Order of Pages in Page Titles Ar
Hello. I am running ON2003 Trial SP2. I am really enjoying using this
application for school. I do have a question, though. I did a search on the
Discussion Forum and didn't find it so I apologize up front if this has
already been answered.
I want to know if there is any way to change the order of the new pages as
they are created. Meaning.... let's say I get to class, start up One...

Need to catch up!!!
Hi All,
Due to a screen problem on my tablet I had been using the ole pen and paper
for a few months but I'm back now!!!
I am still using OneNote 2003 SP2. Am I way out of date for discussion in
this forum? There seems be a lot of talk about 2007!!!
Also - I really need to reorganise the folder structure within OneNote. I am
using backup within OneNote but would like to do something...

Unable to turn off Ink containers
Having some strange behaviour in OneNote 2003 SP2. While inking, I am unable
to turn off ink containers. Under Tools->Options->Displays, this option is
not checked, but ink containers are still visible when using a pen tool.
This juist happened a few weeks ago and haven't been able to figure out why.
I share this notebook on my desktop and the problem is not duplicated there. ...

Turn of Snap to Grid
I am using the drawing tools (wish they were as robust as the other Office
programs) and would like to lose the snap-to behavior that is on my blank
template. Do I have control over this? I am using OneNote via a tablet, so
key-strokes would defeat the purpose of the hardware....

Lost Notebook and backing up notebooks
New to OneNote 2007 and love it. Thanks for a really great product.
Ok, so I was tinkering around with one of my new notebooks, and I "closed"
it by right clicking on the Nav bar and clicking on Close Notebook.
Umm, where does the notebook go when you close it? I cannot find it and
although there isnt any valuable info in it, I would like to know for future
how to get them back.

ON should allow text replace, I think.
I paste long texts in pages and need to replace a word with another for many
times.
It is simply not possible to do so in ON2003.

Title & Date "data" Bar
I'm annoyed that I have to scroll the Title Bar to the right see the Date on
any OneNote page. I don't recall doing this when I first installed, so,
perhaps, I changed a parameter. Yet, I cannot find anything in Help. So,
I'm hoping that someone has knowledge and can help me.
I reset everything to DEFAULT, but that did not fix it. I'm not talking
about a date that one enters into ...

Display local file name in screen clippings
When I create a screen clipping of a web page viewed using IE, OneNote
attaches a very useful URL reference to the bottom of the clipping. When I
create a screen clipping from of a local file viewed through a stand alone
application (e.g., Adobe Acrobat Reader) or through IE with a URL that
begins, "file://C: ...", OneNote does NOT attach a reference to the file. Is

ON 2007 - Print to ON
In the beta version, there was a power toy to "Print to OneNote. It placed
a corresponding icon on the toolbars for IE6, Excel 2003 and Word 2003
In the new ON 2007, The same ability exists. But the command is buried in
the File | Print and then select ON.
I tried to use View | Toolbars | Customize to add the command icon to the
main toolbars on IE, Excel and Word. No luck.

Bug in OneNote and Outlook
Now that the beta is over, I don't know how many of you check connect, so,
can any of you verify this bug (I have replicated it over and over and over):
Steps:
1. import an event into outlook (2007) using iCal.
2. open the event
3. click the "meeting notes"
4. do any sort of writing in ON (actually, I don't think this is needed).
5. Close the appointment in Outlook.

Scanned image size, send to options, and PDF options
I'm currently using ON2007(beta).
Things I would find useful:
1. When scanning, it would be nice to be able to specify the dimensions of
the scanned image. I currently need to resize all the pages of a document
after scanning them.
2. More options when sending something to ON via the printer, such as size

Will installing OneNote 2007 hose my Office 2000?
In my search for a suitable application, OneNote comes highly acclaimed, so I
want to try it. But, I have to keep Office 2000 on my laptop for
compatibility issues with my clients.

ON 2003 - Installation
My wife just installed the original ON 2003. I can't recall some of the
details, since I've been using the beta for the past few months. I have a

Sending a Web Page
When I send a web page to ON 2007, the result has all the data on the web
page. But the ON page is narrower than the web page. So, for example, a
web page laid out as three columns of text, ends up in ON as two columns.
This can seriously misalign the result.
I tried widening the ON margins, by elimination the left and right listings
of page names and notebooks, but it's not enough. ...

hyperlinks in OneNote 2007 appear as a large icon instead of a hyperlink

GTD Template
What about creating a OneNote template based on GTD (Getting Things Done)?.
There are a lot of people interested on it, some are trying it their own
way... just search "GTD Onenote".
I´m sure that an "official" template will boost the sales of OneNote since
it will automatically gather that whole target market.
I would love to have that template.
What do you think about the idea??
