Macros?
I like to write little VB macros to do various routine text processing steps,
like filling paragraphs.

A quick keystroke to remove formatting.
With a paste into a ON07 document from another source (Word, for example) can
yield a different font which can influence the font going on from there. If
I want to get back to the defaults quickly, a nice keystroke to do so would
be more desirable than bringing up the font task pane, scrolling to find the
default, selecting that and then selecting the font size in addition.

Office 2007, Vista and one note 3003
I have just bought a new computer with Vista preinstalled and have installed
Office 2007 professional. Regrettably, this does not come with onenote 2007,
so I have installed onenote 2003 which I already have, and copied my notebook
over. I find onenote extremely useful (and would not be without it) and
really found the powertoys essential but I am unable to install these as my
computer...

OneNote 2007 copy/paste with outline to other applications
Hi,
I'm scratching my head here trying to work out how to maintain outline
structure when Copying & Pasting from OneNote into other applications.

Tags for each notebook.
I know we can select tags from a notebook to use them in the tags bar, but
wouldn't it make more sense that the task bar changed for each notebook?
Nobody will use the same tags for a research draft, a journal, planning
vacations and we all are in several situations or roles, for which we use
different notebooks.
The number of symbols is not big but this is not a big problem as we can ...

OneNote icon in IE7 Toolbar
The OneNote 2007 help indicates there should be a OneNote icon in the
Explorer Toolbar. I don't have one. I am using IE7. I checked the Customize
feature of the Toolbar but also do not see a OneNote 2007 icon there either.
Anybody know why that is?

email documents that are saved in OneNote
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to keep documents in OneNote
like Word or PDF's and email them to folks as attachments. Right now I
only know how to send the whole OneNote Page. I would like to keep my
documents in OneNote and then send only those documents as attachments.

Group items on page
I know MS is aware of the problem. When using ON with a tablet it is a major
problem.
Typically when doing research one insert different type of documents then
use ink annotations.
I have been caught several time when the comments or highlight have shifted
and make no sense anymore.
We could have a group/ungroup command or a command to freeze the page at a

3 page listing contract
When I print a real estate listing contract to ON03 the document show up
fine. It is when I get a signature and try to print it does not print each
page separtely. they have a tendency to run together. The document is
originally saved in adobe pdf format. I have tried the various settings to
have the pages prints seperately. Hope this is clear for you and you have a
work around for it.

Task pane scrolls document horizontally, doesn't scroll back
On a smaller screen when I am editing a document and the task pane comes up,
for format/font for example, the document window occasionally gets scrolled
horizontally to the left such that the left edge of the document (including
text) isn't visible. I am not sure exactly what conditions cause that. The
frustration on top of that is that when I close the task pane, the window

Gasp! I know YOU'LL all understand!
So Gateway has to send me a replacement pen, quelle surprise...
Since my pen isn't working, that means I'm going to have to ... GASP!...
PRINT MY ASSIGNMENT OUT... ON *PAPER*... so that I can write on it, with a
pen and a ... yuk... REAL HIGHLIGHTER!!!!
Oh the trauma.

Pen cursor and joining/grouping items
I'm giving OneNote 2007 a spin. I was really stumped when I tried to use the
pen to mark some items and the cursor pointer disappeared as I entered the
document window. I guess what was happening is I had yellow as the color, so
it was next to impossible to see that little tiny yellow dot on a white
background. Are there any workarounds to such behavior so I am not caught
again?

Template download
I want to use the address list template listed online for OneNote 2007. So I
press the download button. It downloads. . .but to where? It does not show up
in the templates list (Which, incidentally, takes a tea time to load, and
then includes many duplicates.) For the moment,I am interested only in
downloading the address list template to where it can be used.Thank you....

Prevent "dragging" scroll bar
On OneNote sometimes when I try to scroll to the right it ends up "dragging"
the scroll bar when I just want to scroll right. I don't know how to get rid
of this and it is quite annoying. I don't know how to "lock" the scroll bar.
Any ideas?...

Restoring .onepkg files
I have saved a number of notebook files as ".onepkg" files for archiving
purposes whilst using ON2007 trial version. I have recently purchased and
upgraded to the full version. I have tried to restore some of these files by
double clicking on the file with the ".onepkg" extension. Rather than the
usual dialgogue box for opening the notebook, the file attempts to open

ON2007 RTM Won't Save Toolbar Changes
After installing ON 2007 RTM, it regularly forgets any changes I make to the
toolbars. I've reproduced this problem on 3 separate machines.
For example,
- move the default toolbars, exit ON, reopen => toolbars reset to default
position
- add a command to one of the defaults toolbars, exit ON, reopen =>
customized toolbar missing new command
- create a custom toolbar, add a comma...

Attempting to import invalid XML
I have the plug-in for Outlook installed. There are two buttons added to
outlook, one is to save the email to a specific place in OneNote and the
other is to send it to unfiled notes in OneNote. When I try to use the first
button I get the XML error but I can use the button to send to unfiled notes.
This used to work correctly so I don't know why it stopped. Any thoughts?...

Text filling / importation options
When copying and pasting text into ON 2007 with hard carriage returns in it,
such as from an Outlook message, those hard carriage returns made life
difficult. It would be nice to have a paste special option that would fill
paragraphs. Otherwise, I can run a macro, if I could run a macro :-)

Can't start Trial - where is this program?
This isn't very intuitive, I'd say. I downloaded everything, entered the
key, but now there is nothing in the email I received nor on this website to
tell me where it is I go to evaluate this product. On the web, I imagine,
but where??????...
