Opening Display
Somehow, my ON 2007 starts up with the "wrong" display.
I'm not sure of the display names, but it's the view which clears the screen
of most everything, including the menu bar, list on notebooks, and the page
listing.
It can be toggled to normal with the F11 key.
How do I set ON to open it in one or the other of the toggled alternatives.

Shared Notebook 07 on Sharepoint PS 2003
New to OneNote and loving it so far however,
I am using OneNote 2007 with my shared notebook on a 2003 SharePoint Portal
Server. As I save a file, document or page in OneNote and look at my SPPS
page I am noticing that multiple copies of that object are being saved in
SharePoint. They differ slightly in name string and time added.
Any idea what's going on or what I am doing wrong?

section id changes after password protection
Hi All,
I noticed that section ID changes after I protect a section using a password.
If this is the expected result, how can we keep track of each section?
Section name is not reliable either because user can change it too.
Any ideas?

how to show sidenote in the task bar
Lost my sidenote icon in the task bar. How can I get it back? I did a repair
from the CD but no luck....

Bad place for some OfflineCacheFiles?
I sent an e-mail from Outlook to OneNote ("Send selected e-mail to OneNote"
button). The e-mail had an attachment.
The attachment was not saved to the OneNoteOfflineCache_Files directory. It
was saved to "c:\temp\OneNoteAttachments\" directory.
"c:\temp\OneNoteAttachments\" was deleted per automation. Therefore, file
doesn't exist anymore. This is a bad place to try to keep them...

missing pages gone
This last week, I had two months worth of pages go missing on six separate
tabs. I tried to restore it, but the 2 days worth of backups contained the
same error. Is there any other way to recover my lost data? It's not in my
main OneNote folder either. Only thing I can think of is my notebook was
"not connected" but it had not been a problem until this week.
I desperately need my no...

Making Page Tabs Easy to Distinguish
Is there a way to make the page tabs easier to distinguish visually? From
searching the newsgroup, it seems that fonts cannot vary tab by tab, nor can
the color. Is there some other way to make it easy to scan the column of
tabs and distinguish one tab (or category of tabs) from another?...

Ambiguous name detected
I am receiving the error message of "ambiguous name detected" when trying to
print from Word to OneNote. Microsoft Office was installed all at once with
Word and OneNote. I am on the 2007 edition. It used to work. Now, I get

OneNote cannot find the Unfiled Notes section in which to open you
OneNote cannot find the Unfiled Notes section in which to open your new Side
Note.
Everytime I click on the Icon or do a winkey/n, I get this message and the
little window that the message is in is blue. I then go ask instructed to
Tools/Option/Save but I don't know what to do then.
Thie Winkey/n used to work for me....

Sync Problem: OneNote 2007 SP1, iPAQ PDA with WMDC 6.1, Vista
I am unable to sync from my laptop (Vista) to OneNote on my PDA running WMDC
6.1.
I am able to sync my Outlook Contacts, Outlook Notes, Calendar. OneNote
Mobile is installed on my PDA. I am able to sync a note that I write from
OneNote on my PDA to my laptop (it arrives in the OneNote Mobile section),
but I cannot sync anything the other way, from my laptop to my PDA.

Default Font for Header in Unfiled Notes
I have assigned a template for new pages to my Unfiled Notes section. When I
create a new page in this section it formats correctly, however, when I print
a new document to OneNote it does not come in with the default font size in
the header.
I print alot of documents, and it is tedious to have to change this every
time. Am I doing something wrong?...

Need White Paper on OneNote
Does anyone know where there is a white paper on testing OneNote 2007 with
SharePoint?
We are looking to use ON 2007 on a fairly large scale and out IT folks are
nervous. I need some documentation from Microsoft that will put their fears
to rest.

Editing protection
Is there functionality within onenote to protect documents from editing, i.e.
accidently erasing an important line, etc? I've tried workspace and shared

In a local network setup, can notes easily be sent between attached desktops?
Can user-a send a note to user-b if both have onenote on thier computers and

Can't create Tasks in ON2007 or send Tasks from Outlook
The first time I tried to create an Outlook 2007 task from One Note 2007, it
gave me a "Cannot create task" error and now the Task button in One Note is
grayed out, doesn't work no matter what.
Furthermore, there's no way in Outlook to send a Task to One Note, no button
of any kind. It's there for emails and works correctly, but nothing when it
comes to Tasks.
Any idea on why the two...

specified parameter as name.
All I get is a new section with the name "Section 1", no matter what I add.
Can anyone tell me what to do here?
And if a pro is on the way: My final goal would be to create a sheet within
a fixed section. Is that possible at all?

Problems syncronising between Onenote 2007 and a Mobile 6 PDA
Hi all
I have an Ipaq PDA running Mobile 6, a laptop running XP Home and a desktop
running Vista Ultimate x64.
On the desktop I have installed a fully registered version of Office 2007 (
Office Home and Student version ) including Onenote 2007.

Lost side notes
I just started using OneNote, and I've lost a whole boat-load of Side Notes
that were screen clippings. I found them all once tonight, but now, if I go
through every notebook, every tab, they are not there.
I never categorized or set up any file for them -- that was next on the
list. But I can't file something I cannot find!
I've searched by words I thought were in some of the notes...
