How to get rid of the "security notice" on linked files
In ON 2007, when you drag a file to the page, it gives you the option of
making a link (like a shortcut or hyperlink to the file system). This
is really cool, since I don't want a copy of the file...I just want to
be able to get to it directly. The problem is that whenever you open
up any link it gives you a stupid dialog box with a security notice.
Is there any way to disable this security no...

OneNote 2007 Vista Pen Pressure
I'm having a problem with getting pen pressure to work on onenote 2007 under
vista even after I've selected the option in the onenote preferences. Pen
pressure works in all other applications such as word 2007 and journal but
for some reason it will not work in onenote. Anyone else have this problem or
know a solution?...

Revert back from OneNote 2007 trial to OneNote 2003?

I have been using the Microsoft OneNote 2007 trial, but have recently found
my OneNote 2003 disc. Can i revert those notes back and use them within 03?

Quick scan through pages
Previous version of OneNote allowed you to click in page tab area and drag
along the page tabs to quickly scan the contents of each page. In OneNote
2007 when you click and drag a tab it just tries to move the current page.
Have we lost the quick-scan capability?...

OneNote + WebDAV Update
Given the interest in the area, I wanted to set the story straight (so far)
for hosting OneNote notebooks on plain WebDAV servers.
This does NOT apply to SharePoint.

So why should buy ON2007 ?
Okay, so I bought a tablet back in October, which came with a free copy of
ON2003.
So the new version is out today: why should I bother buying it?

0N 2007-Email: background images missing
When I select a ON page and email it, I only get my ink and typed text. The
images on the page (set image as background) don't come through at all. Space
is left for them, however.
I'm using ON 2007 trial and OL 2007 trial. The images were placed on the ON
page via Send to OneNote 2007 from other applications.

Is there a way to manipulate lines within a page?
I use One Note as a fantastic task list (as per david Rasmussen's blog).
However, the list has grown quite large and I need to segragate the flagged
(not completed ) tasks from the checked (tasks completed).
I cant seem to highlite and move individual lines....

Needed: one place for *ALL* OneNote extensibility
Descapa's new OneNote 2007 tools here, scattered bits here and there,
and hopefully a plethora of OneNote extensions forthcoming ...... all
made painful because there is no central place for them.
OneNote needs one place.

Default font sizes for handwriting converted to text in OneNote
Hi. I am trying to find out if i can set a default font and size for the
text that has been converted from handwriting. I realize that in
Tools-Options-Editing i can set a default font and size for text that is
entered as text, but it does not seem to apply for text that is converted
from handwriting. Can this be done?

OneNote WebDAV Broken!
Has anyone gotten OneNote 2007 to Sync with a non-IIS WebDAV server?
Using the rest of Office 2007 I can read and write to my WebDAV folder
just fine, but when I try to create a OneNote 2007 shared notebook on
the same WebDAV folder, it creates the initial notebook, but then
refuses to upload any actual content I put into the notebook. It gives
a 005 error when I manually sync.

print to one note..is this correct?
I would like to print to ON (either from pdf or word) a 1+ page document,
mark it up and print it and have the final printed pages be the same size as
the ones that I printed to ON. At this time, they are smaller in ON and when
printed have wide margins that ON inserts. I need to print 8.5x11 sheets.
From these forums, I gather this was possible in ON 2003 but not ON 2007. I

one note and pen sensitivity
I use one note 2003 on a Toshiba Satellite R10. It works really well about
80% of the time. Then every now and then the pen sensitivity seems to change
and I find it hard to have nice writing. The writing is very sensitive
creating lots of tails at the ends of letters and basically looking a mess.
Does any one know what is going on?

Product key
I recently bought Micosoft Office Professional 2007 and have installed and am
using all the programs that it has to offer. However every time I bring up
OneNote it ask for the Product Key and I normaily cancel and move on. But
this time I went ahead and put in the Product Key only for it to tell me that
it was the wrong number. I did it servral times and I know I put it in right.

Tasks not dissappearin in Outlook task list
I just noticed that my One Note items that I have converted from flags to
check marks (completed) are not showing as complete in my Outlook task list.
Any ideas why?
I create the to do item and on its right I paste the note hypertext label.
On its left I insert the flag marker....

OneNote 2007 works well over a Hamachi Zero Admin VPN. *NICE*
Hamachi ( http://www.hamachi.cc ) is incredible software that allows
users to setup a VPN of their own. Truly amazing stuff. Zero Admin,
robust, free.
