I have Office 2000 Professional SR-1 installed.
Whenever I run Office Update, the progress bar reaches the 40% mark and
then the program aborts.
I have tried running the repair utility included in Office 2000, ran the
installation utility, turned off my firewall, and I have tried every
suggestion in this article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304498
but nothing seems to work!

Reinstalling Office XP upgrade
My computer was hit by a virus and I had to do a complete restore. Now I
want to reinstall my copy of Office XP Standard upgrade but I no longer have
my previous version of Office that the upgrade is looking for. Microsoft
wants a fee for technical support which I would prefer not to pay. How can I
bypass this requirement? My upgrade was legally purchased and registered

Repair 1406 and 57E Window Update Errors Registry Issues
Scenario:
Office 2003 update failed with error 57E. Office repair failed with error
1406. In the Office Repair several prompts were displayed each naming a
registry key (e.g HWXlink.E.lnlk, CLSID etc etc).
Diagnosis
Permissions were incorrect for certain Registry keys.
Considerations:
I used this for Vista Ultimate SP1 and Office 2003 SP3.
A similar procedure may work for other ...

Outlook 2003 and Office 2007
Everytime my Office 2007 does an auto-update from the WEB I can no longer
open an Office file simply by double-clicking the file from Windows Explorer.

"Windows Installer" message from Office 2003. The fix that I have been using
for this issue is to repair Office 2007 each and every time it happens which

Office 2003 Updated - now can't move/renam/delete files
I just updated Office, incl SP3. Now it is acting like XP did when I
installed SP3 for the OS... I can't delete/move/rename files after I have
opened them to read! After a few minutes or a reboot I can, but this is
absurd. Does anyone have a fix for this or do I have to completely uninstall
Office to get rid of the updates which are not able to be uninstalled
separately?
