Renewing Office 2007
My subscription to Office 2007 expired at the end of November 2008. Office
has been telling me to renew, but when I click on the button presented to me
I get sent to Internet Explorer and the page says:

What's in the box?
I'm ready to move from the Trial version of MS Office to the Production
version, but I've never been comfortable without a CD to "reload" if
necessary. Downloading from the Internet will not provide that comfort at
all, and I'm thinking of getting the software from a reputable national
dealer.

Any Office 2003 patch update broke .TIF file association?
Hi Guys,
I have Office 2003 Enterprise Professional Service Pack 3 installed on my
company.
I notice that any time I install an Office 2003 patch update .TIF and .TIFF
files association with Ms Office Document Imaging is deleted.
Is it by default behaviuor?
I know that SP3 for Office delete them but also the patches?

Error 80070643
I have had difficulties similar to others who have reported here.
Service Pack 1 for Office 2007 will not install - it reports error
80070643. I tried installing patch kb946691, which exits reporting that
"installation failed." I tried uninstalling Office 2007, but that also
fails! (By the way, Office 2007 does not appear in "Programs and

Installing Upgrade to Office 2007 after having removed Office 2003
I cannot update my Office 2003 anymore, parts seem to be corrupt, so I have
purchased upgrade 2007 (both are porfessional version). I was told if I try
to do install it won't fix my problem. I need to uninstall 2003 and the
install 2007 and when it does not detect 2003 it will ask me or disk or

Office (Word) 2003 SP3, Hotfix KB898777
Using a 3rd party web-based software that uses MS WORD Mailmerge will not
sucessfully complete a merge in my environment with SP3. Support for this
software documents in July 2005 that KB898777 corrects the issue in SP1.
MS on-line Help and Support is clear that this hotfix, KB898777 can be

Update Diagnostic vs Windows Update?
In Office 2007, Office Diagnostics tells me that "Microsoft Office needs to
be updated". Windows Update (in Vista Business) seems to disagree, and tells
me "No new important updates are available". Which one should I believe, and
why?
I need to sort this out because I am having serious trouble, all of a
sudden, with Word 2007, which crashes as soon as I try to open a file.

Upgrading from Office 2000 to Office 2007
Hi,
Will the email and any personal folders in Outlook 2000 be retained when
upgrading the Office package? The present Outlook 2000 is connected to

I do not use Office Outlook at all. I don't even think it's installed.
Microsoft keeps wanting to install importand updates. (KB952142) Since I
don't use Outlook, can I bypass updates? I have Vista home premium on laptop....

Convert MSP to MSI GPO deployment
I'm in the crap and really need help!!!!
My boss deployed office SP1 via GPO prior to me starting now he has asked me
to deploy SP2 via GPO. I have looked at the server 2003 SBS and found a
shared folder with the SP1 but it only contains the 2003sp1.msp file.
My understanding is that you need to convert that file to an MSI to deploy

Compatibility pack installed, but still prompted to install
I have Office 2003 SP3 installed and have downloaded and installed the
Compatibility Pack "FileFormatConverters.exe" so I can open Office 2007
files. But on trying to open 2007 files I still get the "Do you want to
download" prompt, and the files still don't open. If I try to run the
installer again I get a message saying "Another version of this product

Office Update is unable to check for updates...
I have Office 2000 Professional SR-1 installed.
Whenever I run Office Update, the progress bar reaches the 40% mark and
then the program aborts.
I have tried running the repair utility included in Office 2000, ran the
installation utility, turned off my firewall, and I have tried every
suggestion in this article:

Update KB9566500 for Office 2003 Power Point Viewer
Above update was downloaded by Automaitc Updates. I do not have Office
installed, but I do have a copy of Power Point Viewer. When attempting to

Trial version of Office 2003 only
I keep getting automatic updates for Office 2003, I do not run this on my
computer. Not that I would not like to, it's just too exspensive for me to
buy. I have a stand alone home used computer and am retired so the cost and
my use of it does not make it cost effective for me. Please HOW can I stop

Installing Office 2000 SR1 without CD - KB Method-2 Does NOT Work
We have a laptop that came from the OEM vendor with Office 2000 Pro
pre-installed. They do not provide a Office 2000 CD.
When I go to the Office Update site it says I need to install Office 2000 SR1.
I downloaded & SAVED the file. When I run the update package it asks for the
Office 2000 Pro CD, to get DATA1.MSI file.

Product Keys for Home and Student Office 2007
I have two new PCs. Laptop with Vista 32Bit and Desktop with Vista 64 Bit.
Both came with and OEM loaded Office for Home and Student. I did a Trial

[solved] The module FM20.DLL was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x8002801c
I am posting this as I could not find the solution myself using google, and needed to contact Microsoft for the solution, and was a royal pain in the ***.
