Migrating Office from Windows 98 to Vista Computer
I had Office 2000 Standard on a Windows 98 PC that died, forcing me to buy a
new computer. I bought one with Windows Vista. How do I reinstate my MS
Office on the new PC? The only CD I have is the upgrade CD that I used to
install it on the old PC and I'm unable to install it on the new PC because
it can't find an older version. Furthermore, my product key won't activate
the Office 2007...

defaulting to old version of Office Apps
I have both 2003 and 2007 versions of Word, Excel, and Access on my computer.
I want to be able to double-click older versions of those files (.doc, .xls,
..mdb) and have them open in the 2003 versions of the apps. Instead, they
open in the 2007 versions. I have gone into Explorer and changed the file
extension "open with" options, but with no success -- they still open in
2007. What...

Updating Office 2000 to 2007: way to backup old settings & emails?
I have Microsoft Office 2000, and I need to be able to be able to have a
Dutch spellcheck for Microsoft Word. That feature is included in the
Microsoft Office Proofing Tools 2003, but unfortunately I have old Office
2000 and they aren't compatible.
So I figured I might as well upgrade and buy Microsoft Office 2007, and then
install those 2003 proofing tools. (I assume that will work?) T...

Launch 2007 Resource kit expiring
I went to a Microsoft Across America event, received Launch 2007 Resource
Kit. Installed Office 2007 with no problem and used the Key Code inside of
he folder. I am now getting e-mails saying this software is about to expire.
I thought this was Permanent software not a TRIAL Version. Was this supposed
to be Permanent software? Will office 2003 automatically come back or will I
have t...

without incident and can use all programs without error. However, everytime
I try to install an Office update/upgrade I receive a validation error. I

there any updates needed. The MS TechNet site recommended a slew of Tested
