File Menu Error in Microsoft Document Imaging
After updating Office to SP3, the file associations in Microsoft Document
Imaging are broken and yes, this is expected behavior. No big deal to
restore file associations. BUT. . . click on File and MDI crashes. Can't
save, print, or anything else on the File menu. Anyone have a fix for this?
Our users are on Windows XP in a highly secured and locked down environment.

Excel 2003 SAVE AS (NOT RESPONDING)
I saw all the problems with a security update in 2006. This JUST started
happening to me the day before Christmas 2008! I can't save any excel files
to my removable disk drive. It works for other files, but not EXCEL. I

Outlook DB958620, Word KB956357, Excel KB958436 won't install
Security updates for Outlook DB958620, Word KB956357, & Excel KB958436 fail
to install. I'm tired of them trying to install every time I shutdown and
seeing the install shield at the bottom of the screen. Is there any info on
why these three won't install OR how can I get rid of them so they don't try

problem installing sr-1a
I am running Office2000 on WinXP Sp3. I tried to install SR-1a and it tells
me that I have the Professional version,which I don't and tells me to insert
the install CD and look for file Data1.msi.This file is not on the cd but
Data2 is but it wants Data1.s there a way to fix this issue? I want to

Issue with adding the .emf kind of image file into the shape object of the office 2003
Hi All,
I have an issue with adding the .emf kind of image file into the shape
object of the office 2003 excel(for that matter even with the power point
and word), but the same image file is successfully added to the shape object
of office 2007.
If there was an issue with thekind of the .emf image file created then it
shouldn't have been successfully added to the office 2007 shape object. Ha...

Windows 2007 Upgrade - reinstall new Computer
I purchased a new HP with Vista Home installed. I reloaded my copy of Windows
2003 which took. I then applied the Windows 2007 Upgrade, and I keep getting
a message that the Product Key is invalid. This was a third install (two

Upgrading from Office 97 to Office Home and Student 2007
I have been using an old version of Office 97 for several years without any
problems. I decided to upgrade to a newer version for file sharing purposes
and bought Office Home and Student 2007. I havn't installed it yet because I

Upgrade to Office with Vista
Just got a machine with Vista which has MS Works 9.0 installed. Want to
upgrade to Office Prodessional 2007 from the discs I used to upgrade my old
computer. Keep getting the message "Can't find upgradeable product".

File missing for update
I am running Office2000 on WinXP SP-3 and wanted to install some upgrades
starting with SR-1.After I ran the install a message came up telling me that

Office 2007 Upgrade from Front Page 2000
Because Front Page is no longer in Office 2007, does Microsoft Office Front
Page 2000 satisfy the eligibility requirements for the Office 2007
Professional Upgrade?
The posted requirements indicate that Front Page 2007 is a valid requirement
but I would like to find out for sure before I make a purchase....

Uninstalling the Compatibility Pack after Office 2007 is installed

Answer to Detection Problems on Office Update for KB949074
The detection problems that many of you noticed on the Office Update site for
KB949074 have now been fixed. It will now properly detect only Office 2003
environments that meet the criteria outlined here:

Office 2007 Require Key

Windows XP service pack 3
My computer is trying to install the service pack 3 update for Office XP. It
keeps saying to go to my XP disk and then tells me it can't find the file on
my Windows XP Home edition (version 2002) disk to finish the installation.

KB949074 Update Problem
On Thursday, 12/11/08, I was offered a number of Microsoft updates by the
monthly update service. After the installation I went to the Office Update
site, which offered Office Update KB949074. When I tried to install, it
fails. Downloading the file manually made no difference; it will not install
that way either complaining that it can't detect that Office 2003 is

When first running office update today i had 6 updates to download and
install including this one. All the updates showed to install successfully.
Upon rechecking, this update shows and will not install successfully. I
downloaded the fullfile version and ran it, but office update still shows
this update is needed. Does anyone have a solution for this?
