No Help Window
I'm not able to open the Help Window in any of my 2002 Office products. I
have turned off the Office Assistant. But Help by menu or F1 just gives me a
grey sidebar on the right with links for What's New, Get Started, Microsoft
Office Web site, Getting Help, Help Topics, and Web Pages. But I'm looking
for the regular Help Window with Table of Contents, Search (and the other
middle tab,...

Can't install trial versions - gives an error
Hi
I'm trying to install new versions of software from office enterprise or
expression web trial, and when i do, it says i have to remove any trial
versions of microsoft office software.
I do have trial versions of visio, and publisher but frustratingly, they
won't uninstall. When i try to remove them from add/remove programs I get:

I did an operating system restore and i cant reload office pro 200
Windows xp kept crashing on me and i had no choice but to reinstall windows
xp operating system and now i can not reload microsoft office professional
edition 2003. it says my key is no longer valid. the system did a backup
and saved most of my files but the programs are gone. it cost a pretty penny
for pro and i dont want to buy it again. any help will be appreciated....

How do I buy a product key number?
I recently bought a new computer from Dell and we have microsoft office 2003
installed. The problem is I don't have a product key number to use the
program. Dell said that I have to buy a product key number in order to use
the program, any one know how do I do this?...

Office 2003 Basic registration
I am trying to install an Office 2003 CD (word, excel, ...) but I need to
register my product in the internet or by telephone. I choose the phone
option and in one of the menus where I have the ID key, they ask me a code
that I do not have - A____ B___ C_____ D_____ ... ?????
Is there any possible way of finding out what is this code? Do I really have
to call them or to plugge my comput...

If you install 2007 Trial, can you upgrade later
Right now I have Office XP and Frontpage 2003 installed and I am
wondering what happens if I try the Office 2007 trial. If I decide to
buy it, will I be forced to buy the full version or can I still do the
upgrade thing? I do have all the original CDs.

I can not run office 2007 with Panda anti-virus turned on? why is this and
how do i get around this problem? office applications run fine with out the
anti-virus turned on but when i try to open an apllication with it turned on

MUI Office 2003 install problems
New hard drive, fresh install
1. installed XP Windows Pro SP 1 and all updates
2. installed Office 2003 and all updates
3. tried to install Office 2003 MUI disk 5, got "install Office 2003
and try again"
Obviously the MUI wizard does not recognize Office 2003.
Install directories are correct. What to do?

2007 Trial
I installed 2007 Pro Trial and entered the 60-day product key on my
Vista machine. All files open up in protected mode and most features
are grayed out. I thought that this is a fully functioning trial
version. How do I change this?

Removing Office 2007 setup cache.
First of all, why did Microsoft office start caching all the setup
files on user's hard disk at the first place? Can't they be accessed
from CD/DVD?
There was a cache remover utility (from Microsoft!) for Office 2003.
(That program also caused problems. When I removed cache with it,
trying to add/remove Office features was just troublesome) Is there
such a utility for Office 2007? I manual...

Previous versions of Office won't uninstall when deploying Office
I've been fighting with an issue for some time now. I've been trying to
deploy Office 2007 plus via Group Policy (we don't own SMS). I'm using the
config.xml file to customize the install. Everything installs fine, but it
doesn't uninstall previous versions of Office. I even wrote a custom script
that does it, but the config.xml file won't call it when using GPOs. This is
a problem ...

Office 2007 Compatability Mode install
As far as I can tell the ability to install Office 2007 in Compatibility Mode
is just a sales/marketing bullet point and not an actual option that you can
select or put in your Office Customization installation file. Have I been
duped by marketing into thinking I can deploy in a "Compatibility Mode" or is
it on a per document basis for Word, Excel and Power Point? And the "save

Problem to deploy Office 2007 with GPO
I want to deploy Office 2007 with a GPO but when I want to add my package in
the strategy, I get an error (sorry the message is in french) :

VBA (2720) error: VBA6.msi missing
When I double click on an Excel spreadsheet in Word, or on a Chart in
Powerpoint, I receive a VBA (2720) error as my system is looking for a

Program won't open, installing keeps running
Hello,
I performed a complete install of Office 2003 on a pc. Everything works
fine except InfoPath. When you try to open it, an installing pops up saying
"Installing: Microsoft Office InfoPath Features". the installer goes away,
but the program never opens. I have uninstalled and re-installed Office, but
it still did not work.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!...
