Vista Sleep Mode and Office 2007
This is a repost of something I put up a while back and got no response!
Would like to try again. Hopefully somebody out there has an idea or
suggestion. Her goes:-
I have a problem with Office 2007 not responding when I come back from sleep
mode under Vista (Business edition). If I launch these programs after
returning from sleep

Office 2003 Standard To New Computer
I installed Office 2003 Basic upgrade (over Office 97) several years ago. I
bought Office 2003 at retail - it is not an OEM or trial version. I am
taking the computer out of service and want to use Office 2003 on my new
computer. I installed it and the programs work fine but I can't get updates

No online help
When I tried to go through activation online, i was told that there was an
error / office was offline. My internet connection is working fine (thus i
can type this). I activated by phone, but still can't get online help. I
think there's probably a setting issue or something, but am not sure how to
proceed.

what happens to office 2000 when 2007 is installed ?
When I installed Office 2007 it stated that 2003 would be deleted. But it
did not perform this. I don't want both versions on my PC. Should I remove
Office 2003 on my own ?

Office Home and Student 2007
While trying to install Office I get the following message:
HomeStudentr.WW\osetup.dll digital signature does not validate or is not
present
This product is licensed for 3 installs - and has been used once. I have
installed all the available Microsoft updates.
I see others have had the same problem - but I don't see any solutions.

Running Outlook 2007 for the first time
We have set up an MSP file using the OCT tool. When a user runs Outlook for
the first time they are confronted with 3 messages (I wish you could paste
here!).
The first has the heading "Welcome to the 2007 Microsoft Office System" -

Office 2007? With Office 2003, you simply ran the maintenance wizard to
create a CMW file and push it to your users.

i have office 2003 student and teacher edition installed on my pc that i
purchased from a retail store it was not on the pc, i now need access 2003
and have purchased office 2003 pro from microsoft home use program.
how do i change over / uninstall student and install pro or can i just add

Problem with Activation
I have a full copy of Office 2003 Professional OEM. I got it from a
reputable, microsoft certified company. I installed office 2003 and
everything went fine, but when I opened the program, the activation wizard

Help please Office 2003 screwed up
Hi
One of my colleagues had Office 2003 installed on her laptop. She received
Office 2007 and started to do an upgrade from 2003 to 2007 rather than a new
install. The upgrade bombed out half way through, probably because the
office 2007 was a full version.

Default Formats
Can I change the list of formats that appear when I click the arrow on the

Office 2007 Won't connect to exchange mailbox unless NIC has a default gateway
After installing office 2007 i find it will not connect to a users mailbox
on a local Exchange 2003 server unless the NIC has a default gateway
address. Our network uses ISA and DHCP does not give DG to the workstations.
How do I get around this in Outlook to not check for a DG on the NIC?

WOW is really WTF
Ok so I install Office 2007. Lets look at word heard its different. Ok
needs to configure. 10 mins after installing configuring I can now see
Word. Ok lets look at Excel. WTF it needs to configure. Ok 10 mins later
.... See a pattern.
Reopen Word it wants to configure.
MS what is happening. I now have a $500 dollar piece of software that does
not work. It is on Vista Ultimate...

How to modify an Office installation
I've done an admin install of Office 2003 Professional
All works fine - but now i want to make a few changes to the installation
without running the admin install again e.g I don't want the task pane to
appear when a document opens
if I log in as a user and make all these changes - is there anyway I can
save the changes from their profile to my install ?

Where is the general Open/New Office menu?
Remember in untio Office 2003 you will see in the Start Menu two items called
Open Office file and New/Create Office file. Why is there none after

office 2003 and 2007 simultanuously
Hi,
I have Office 2003 and 2007 simultanuously installed.
I use outlook 2007 all the time, no issues, but when I switch back and forth
between some of the other applications,
every time teh office setup dialogue box appears and (slowly) goes to some
kind of setup again.
Also when I make a shortcut, there is a separate ability to assign Access
2003 or 2007 but this option does not exist...
