Office 2003 Install problem
Hi, We have a laptop running Office Pro 2003. recently when we started
Word, we got an error message up saying that The program would not install a
component, but if we clicked on Ok, it opened Word.
I tried to do a repair, and after about 5 monites of installation come up
with an error "Microsfot apologise but the Installed encounted an error".
The install program them stops.

Long standing problem with Office 2007 hanging when returning from Vista sleep mode
Hope I am not annoying readers here but I am really tearing my hair out
trying to solve this problem. It has been going on for weeks now and few
suggestions have come from this forum. Thus the repeat postings on this....

New email in Outlook runs installation
I'm using Outlook 2003 and whenever I receive a new email in my Inbox
Outlook insists on running the Office Installation, which says it's
installing files and finally asks me to restart. Upon restart, the
same exact thing happens. The only way for me to read my email is to
cancel this installation dialog.
How can I fix this?

Setup Office Home and Student
First time setup. Keeps shutting down due to "Bootstrapper" problem.

Can't install my new Office 2007 Professional Upgrade
It's a good job that I don't live anywhere near a tall bridge...
I can't install Office 2007 Professional Upgrade. Some specifics:
1) Trying to install on my desktop machine - it installed fine on my laptop
2) I have Office 2000 Premium and Office Works Suite 2006 on the desktop
(running XP)

Office 2003 does not uninstall when deploying Office 2007
The name says it all. I'm launching the Office 2007 setup via script.
Office 2003 was originally deployed via GP. I have configured in my custom
MSP for all previous versions to be uninstalled prior to installing 2007.
After the 2007 install I still see 2003 on the system. At the same time,
during the scripted install I get the following:

Transferring MS Office
I have a large network environment. We installed Office with Open
licenses on all the machines when they were purchased. We are now
refresshing these machines and want to transfer the licenses to the
new machines - which is perfectly fine with open licenses. My problem
is that the people that did those first machines, did not record
license numbers used on each machine so I have no license...

Updgrade Works to Office
I have Works 7 installed and I would like to upgrade to Office (any version).
Can someone please explain in plain english how this is done. I've found
links that take me to sites about licensing but it don't mean nothing to me!

OCT - preventing reboot in order to install addins
How can I keep the computer from rebooting after installing Office 2007 in
order to install some add-ins? Does it require the use of the config.xml
file? I sure hope not cause my prgramming skills suck. I'd prefer to do the
entire install using the OCT GUI....

Avoid installing Office 2007's Built-In Templates
Hi
A customer of mine wants to know if it is possible to avoid installing
Word, Excel and PowerPoints templates.
When installing Office 2007 I don't see the option to disable
installation of templates.
They are rolling out Offices 2007 via SMS Server.
A link would be great ;-)

Outlook won't install during Office 2007 upgrade
I have just installed the Office Basic 2007 Free Upgrade and Outlook did not
install. When I attempt to go the install program and Change, the Outlook
App. is X'd out. When I activated, the activation screen said that Outlook
did activate. What can I do to get Outlook installed? Thank you....

Office setup problem

Client OS: Windows XP SP2
Application: Microsoft Office 2003
Suddenly we have started getting a weird problem with Office on new Windows
XP clients. We install Office as an administrator and all applications works
perfectly normal.

and each is in a seperate folder

Greek language pack craches word 2007
Big problem with Greek language in office 2007.
I installed greek version of office 2007 and word crashes opening greek
files (with hyphenation in automatic mode). No problem opening file in
english.
I installed english version and everything works well (no greek hyphenation
and spell tools of course). I installed greek language pack on the top of

New DVD error message
I've never had problems playing DVDs before... but this morning all of
a sudden I get an error message saying WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER CANNOT
PLAY THE DVD BECAUSE A COMPATIBLE DVD DECODER IS NOT INSTALLED ON THE
COMPUTER. When I try explore the issue more, I'm directed to a place
where I can pay 14.95 or so for a decoder. Any idea what's going on
here?

Windows scrolling does not work
I installed Outlook 2007 and Office 2007 Home and Student edition lately on
my ThinkPad running on XP Pro SP2. Somehow I found that windows scrolling
does not work in some office programs:

Remember in Office 2003 you will see in the Start Menu two items called
Open Office file and New/Create Office file. And this item contains tabs of
categories of file/document types with various icons of templates, etc. . .
Why is there none after upgrading to Office 2007 Professional Plus? Or must I

Office 2007 Upgrade conflict from Terminal Server
Hi All,
I have an upgrade version install error on a box running Windows
Server 2003 OS. Dialog says conflict with Terminal Server (which has
not been activated yet). Call Microsoft.
This particular Office 07 Upgrade version is labelled "Service Desk
Edition" although I was suppose to be buying the full retail version,

Office 2003 replacement / activation
When i uninstall my genuine office 2003 student and teacher edition and then
install my genuine office 2003 professional edition, will the old activation
key be deleted for me to activate the new version or do i need to do
something so as not to cause a conflict with both programs.
