Installing Office Twice on a Dual-Boot Machine
I have a Office 2007 Professional copy that I am currently running on
Windows XP. I am planning to also install Windows Vista this weekend
on the SAME computer as a dual-boot. Can I install Office 2007 again
to be used under the Windows Vista install or would that violate the
license agreement? Would activation work, since the hardware ID of the
computer could potentially be the same (not sur...

Proofing Tools with Office Ultimate
I have purchased the Office 2007 Ultimate version. I was told that it would
contain international dictionaries which could be used when typing, for
example, in portuguese.
Do I have the rights to access this information (portuguese dictionary)? Is
it built-in Office Ultimate? Would this proofling tool be available for
Office 2007 ultimate users? Do I realy need to make a purchase of it, i...

Not my work computer
My Office 2004 for Mac works great. However, at some piont during
installation it asked for the name of the company I work for. I told it, but
I'd rather it didn't list the company on the splash screen, since this is my
home computer. In the user preferences, I've removed all reference to the
company (both in Office and in OSX), but it persists on the splash screen. Is
there any way to c...

Reinstalling Office 2003 & Office 2007
I installed Office 2007 and it deleted my Office 2003, then the OCR (Optical
Character features) on my scanner wouldn't work, so I restored my system
(Windows XP) to what it was before I installed Office 2007. This deleted
Office 2007 but now my scanner works again, as it's using Word 2000 on my
system. Now I want to reinstall Office 2003, as I bought the original disks
and still have th...

Can't uninstall Office 2000
Hello Everyone -
A friend has Office 2000 installed on his Windows 2000 machine and wants to
uninstall it. When he attempts to do this the uninstall program wants him to
insert a CD (I think it's Setup Disk 1 or some such) but he doesn't have any
Office CDs because he inherited the machine. Isn't there some way to
uninstall it without CDs?...

disabling cache on installation...
Hello,
Is it possible to prevent the LIS (Local Installation Source) cache being
created during an install of Office 2007? It was quite easy to do in Office
2003 (simply modifying the setup.ini file) but I haven't been able to locate
a way to do this for the latest Office suite. In my research I've found
there are ways to specify where you want the LIS to go (in the config.xml
file) but ...

Windows Mail only for email and set it as the default program to use; Outlook
is not installed on my computer. I can open Windows Mail and insert the

Office 2007 setup?
I attended the launchtour 2007 event and got a product key. The
instructions tell you to d/l the trial version and use the tour key rather
than the trial key. I see two files to d/l x12-30196.exe and
x13-40150.exe. I d/l'd both, ran the x12-30196.exe file and Office 2007
installed without any problems. I started to run the 40150 file and saw a
lot of files with 64 in their title. ...

I have an odd problem. I have inadvertently said yes to sent a read receipt
for an email that was originally sent to my old email account. I can still
