I'm told I can't Upgrade?
Just purchased a new laptop with VISTA. But BEST BUY tells me that I can't
upgrade from Office Pro 2003 because the NEW laptop doesn't have the suite.
Even CompUSA is saying the same thing.
I'm a REGISTERED 2003 owner, and I've got the Office 2003 discs used to

RAN DETECT & REPAIR; ALL OFFICE APPS: "NOT INSTALLED FOR CURRENT U
I ran Detect & Repair for an Oulook 2003 Pro issue and now all MSO products
come up with a dialog that says the applications are not install for the
current user. I am 100% that I chose the option to keep my current settings.

Silent Uninstallation of Office 2007
Hi,
I had recently deployed Office 2007 Enterprise Edition to the PCs in my company silently using the customised msp file and pointing the config.xml file in the suit i am installing.
However, i wonder if there is any way to uninstall Office 2007 silently. So far i am unable to find any information on that in the internet. I suppose there should be a reverse way to silent installation sinc...

I'm new and lost!
I've just purchased a Gateway lapatop with Vista program included. I'm
totally lost. I'm not sure what is included in the package that came with
the laptop. For instance, I REALLY NEED to have a slide show presentation
ready by THursday morning and I don't even know where to start. When I try
Power Point it just takes into Microsoft Word. What do I do? Thanks

Upgrade scenarios
We'd like to upgrade Office in a company with 15 computers (13 pc/2
laptop). Currently each system is running Office 2000 professsional,
with Outlook 2003 (came with SBS 2003).
What are the advantages of getting 15 open licenses (at about $480 a
pop) vs. getting 13 Office 2007 Pro upgrades (about $300 a pop)?
The disk for Office 2000 is long gone...it was copied to the server
years ago ...

Need to change normal template in Word 2003.
Tried to follow directions given: "On File menu, click Open, navigate to
C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates". I
can't get past MY user name to get to Application Data. Can't find that
folder. I want to change Normal.dot template margins, font and screen size
(115%) to have that appear every time I bring up Word....

How many times can I install office 2007 ultimate (retail)
After looking up many online newsgroups, I have come here for a
definitive answer.
I have bought Office 2007 Ultimate perpetual license. I have installed
this copy on my Vista Ultimate notebook computer.

Error when installing from a IMG file
I've downloaded Office 2007 from MVLS site. The name of the downloaded file
end with .img. The name of the file tells me that I should be a DVD image.
The size of the file is about 560 MB. When I'm burning either to a CD or DVD

Using Office in Limited User Account
I have set up a Limited User Account, but everytime I try to access any of my

through it does this

Error 1311 missing source file
I am trying to reinstall Office as a hopeful solution to an Outlook problem
and whether I try to reinstall or repair, it stops about 105 into the process
saying:
Error 1311 Source file not found D:\ZF561407.CAB (D being the OEM cd rom).

Outlook 2003 Install hangs
I have outlook 2000 nad am trying to run the outlook 2003 setup. I run the
setup file from the install disk it starts and just before the screen changes
to the license key screen it hangs. I have all the latest patches and
updates. I'm running windows XP professional SP2.
