auto insert date
From the 07 help menu:
1.. Type the first four characters of the current month.
For example, type febr for February.
Microsoft Word displays the current month: February.
2.. Press ENTER to insert the month, and then press SPACEBAR.
Word displays the current date - for example, February 12, 2008 or 12
February 2008.
3.. Press ENTER to insert the entire date.

'Rubber Stamp' appearance style font
Not quite sure if the right thing to ask in this group but I would like
suggestions for fonts that look like 'rubber stamping'. That is edges not
quite as sharp as normal fonts. This is so I can use across some documents
to put messages like: "Draft", "Sample", "Private", etc.

Formatting woes
I need to use both frames and tables in my Word (2003) document form.
It will be a protected document.
My frames are really giving me a headache. They do not line up well on
my document, especially when tables are immediately above and or below
them. And forget having two frames side by side. It is a logistical
nightmare. (I do need both as I am using frames to mimic radio

paste time and date into save as
Hi
When I want to save a document in office 2003 I have to type the date
manually into the "Save As" box.I'm using the freeware Tclock exe in my
taskbar.From there I'm able to copy & paste the time & date into any programs
exept into Office 2003 [Student Teacher] What I'd like to know is how to
paste the date into the "Save As" box in office word from Tclock exe .

How do I copy text to pleading paper template?
I have regular text on a document from when I used WordPerfect. I now have
Word 2007, and I need to copy the "text" over to a already created Pleading
Template so that I don't have to re-type the entire original document again.
Each time I have tried to do this, the old document "pushes" the new template
numbering down to the end of the document... HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...

Transferring Add-Ins from one computer to another

Using word 2003 invoice templates in word 2007
My customer invoices files are based on an invoice template in Word 2003.
These files will open in word 2007, but the price extentions do not auto
calculate in Word 2007 as they did in Word 2003. How can I activate the
fields to perform the calculations based in input to the Quantity and Unit
Price Fields? Thanks

Creating an index

Help with language dictionary
I created a template that provides formatting and standard layout used by a
group : they put in content and the docs come back to me for fine tuning
before going out for print. Someone has managed to change the grammar checker
to french even though the dictionary is listed as english only and it has

Office 2007 simple question: How do I rearrange the buttons?
This is not a rant.
I just want to change the order of some of the buttons one of the
ribbons in Word (Outlook actually, but I assume the procedure is the
same across Office 2007 apps - if possible at all). In pre-2007
versions, I could simply re-order the buttons on the toolbar to put my
most commonly used buttons to the left - whether they were related or
not.

Can't get rid of double space
Hi,
Every time I open a new document or change format in Word 2007 it always goes to double space and I have to go into the
paragraph section and keep checking "Don't add space between paragraphs of the same style". With line spacing set to
single.
I do have a screen short but don't want to send it unless it is permitted.
I never had this problems with Word XP.

Checking for null field on exit
I have a Word 2003 form that I want to check to see if a particular
form field is null when exiting/saving the document. If it is, then I
want to prompt the user to either go ahead and close form without
entering required data, or go back and enter the data.
