Endnotes
Is there a way to jump back to the text where you entered an endnote after
you have entered it? In Wordperfect, for example, there is an icon that you
click that takes you right back to where you were. But I can't seen to find
something simliar in word. It seems like a pain to have to scroll back
through all the text when you are working on a long manuscript. ...

background color for text document
I am only able to format background color in Web Layout view. (using XP)
It seems that in the past, somewhere, I have been able to apply it to Normal
and Print Layout. How do I do this?

open word to last edited place
I seem to recall a keystroke combination you could use after you open a Word
file (I am using Word 2003) and it would take you to the last place in the
document you edited Could someone tell me what the keystroke?

MS Word 2000 Help File Error
On my Win2k system, when I'm using Word 2k and want to
access the built-in Help file(s), Help starts to load, but
then an error message comes up that Help has caused an error
and will shut down (and it's not kidding!).
Anyone here know an easy fix for this?

TOC & Return
Hi all,
Shitf-F5 works great and is pretty useful. Now I'm curious about another
little goody that I doubt exists, but ... if one doesn't ask, then one never
knows; right? <g>
Word 2002:
Have a Document with a TOC which is made from Headings, specifically Heading
styles 1 thru4 . It's about 3 pages long as this is an all text document
promising to surpass 500 pages. It's 48...

No 'Mail Recipient' option in 'Send To', Word2k
Hi all - got an odd problem
I've got Thunderbird set as my default email client.
In Word 2000, when I go to File, Send To there's no option to email the
document.
The only options I get are Bluetooth, Fax, Powerpoint, Online Meeting
Participant (grayed out)
Thunderbird appears in the Start menu and opens when I click mailto:
links, so I'm sure its properly set as the default clie...

How can you make Entourage 2004 as default e-mail program?
I have an Apple computer and trying to email a document in Word but when I
tried to click Send To, it opens Mail (Mac). I'm using Entourage 2004 as my
default email program. Aside from saving the Word doc and then opening the
Entourage, there's an option in Word to Send To (Mail Recepients) and the
email program will pop up. Please help me....

Whe I close Word 2007, it crashes and restarts. V. annoying
I have a problem with my Microsoft Word 2007 and Excel 2007 programmes. I
recently upgraded from the Office 2003 OEM package to the Office 2007 OEM
package for my Windows Vista PC. All the programmes open and save fine, but
whenever I try to close Word or Excel I get a message saying "Microsoft Word
has stopped working" and the programme crashes and then restarts.

grayed-out commands on toolbars
I've used several Add-Ins that I need for a course I'm taking, but they stay
"grayed-out ' and do not work. I'm trying everything, but I'm spending more
time on MSN help than on this class.
Can anyone walk me thru what I should do with Add-Inn commands to make them
work?

Header Numbering
Greetings All,
In the 2003 version of MS Word, defining headers that were numbered 1, 1.1,
1.2, 1.3 was very easy to do. Now I can't figure out how to do it in MS
Word 2007. Can someone please tell me how to do this?

Set up links to .pdf file in MSWord that "stay" after .pdf-ing
I am trying to link to Adobe Acrobat .pdf files in an MSWord 2000 document
that is going to eventually be converted to .pdf itself. After conversion,
the links break! I was able to get "cabinets" to appear in the MSWord
document that end in .lnk, but they don't convert to .pdf in a form that is
usable by reviewers....

Not accepting tracked changes
I am working on a document in which I selected the tracked changes option.
I made many formatting changes....etc. When I attempted to select "accept
all changes" so I can email the final draft to someone, the accept button is
all grayed out and won't allow me to select it. I am now unable to send the
document without the red marked corrections I have made. I am not having
this problem ...

Faint Cursor
A friend has just bought a laptop with Vista Home installed. They find that
Word, that came as bundled software, has a very faint cursor. Sorry I don't
know which vers of Word. Is there a fix for this?

auto save question
When you have auto save checked,
do you have to save the document once
first before it will start saving it?
If the computer crashes, and you have
not saved it at least once, what does
it save it under then? (that is if you don't have to save it at least once
first)

Lost Document
Spent over 3hours typing work for University, using a preformed document
layout provided by the tutors. My laptop crashed and I lost the lot. However
Auto Recover recovered the document (Word 2003) but I cannot read it because
it is 95% coever with Question Marks (?). Can any one help on how to sort it
out please?

Ensure single space at next line
I've created a doc where, in some cases, the line spacing is not exactly
single spaced - as I'd like for it to be. It may be ALMOST right, but not
exactly.
Sometime back, I asked about a similar problem and somebody told me to go to
the end of the line and key in ??????? (shortcut keys) and the next line
would be single spaced.
But I can't find how to do that and I've lost my notes....

GoBack function
The GoBack function causes the insertion point to "go back" to the
previous location. I think it has a memory of 4 locations.
It is assigned to 2 different keyboard shortcuts: a-c-z and s-F5.
This is a very useful function, but there is just one GoBack stack for
all open documents. That is, it records the last 4 locations, not the
last 4 locations in this document.
