2003 view in Office 2007
Hi
I have just installed Office 2007 and am not impressed with toolbars etc.
All I want to do is type letters and I found the 2003 view much easier
Can I turn on a view similar to 2003.

auto numbering only works with tab
using word 2002, on new dell vista home prem desk top.
typing on a standard letter, new document.
when completing a list of names, vertically, using the auto numbering
feature, it only works if i "tab" after entering 1. if i use the space bar,
it doesn't auto enter the next number.
searched word help. i uninstalled the word 2002, & reinstalled it.

Removing graphic icon in word document
Hi,
Im pasting some text (containing links etc) from a web-page to a word
document.
It also pastes some graphic (yellow background with paper scroll like
sign) on to my word document. This graphic is not visible in the web-
page itself. When I right click on this grahic it offers Cut, copy,
Paste and View Script

I want to stop automatics style changes in new documents
When I open a new document in Word 2007, I type a line and then when I hit
enter it automatically starts the new paragraph with a space between it and
the first line. The style changes from "normal" to "No spacing". I don't want
Word to do this. In fact, I don't want word to do any of the automated stuff
that it does. I hate the fact that it automatically does stuff that I don't

Can a style inherit font attributes? (Word 2007)
I write a lot of reports. Most of them are done in stages over many
weeks or even months. I have developed a set of templates that include
all of the parts of the final report, with all but the first part
coded as hidden text. As each section is completed, I unhide the text
in that section.
This works very well because it allows me to start work on future

size of pictures
When I insert a 330 K JPEG picture to a word file, the size of the
word file increases by 540 K. When I insert a 1.5 Mb bmp file to
the word file, the size of the word file increases by only around
600 K. Why doesn't the size of the word file increase by the size
of the inserted file?...

Home and Student Office 2007
I didn't see one note that my Microsoft Outlook 2003 was going to be deleted
along with all my addresses, and special e mail letters. The technician
helped me install OUTLOOK EXPRESS however, here's the question:

Coloured titles in Word
I am using Office 2003 on a Vista Business PC.
On checking my documents folder, some of the Word document titles are in
green, rather than the standard black type.
It does not alter the behavior of the document as far as I can tell.
Can any advise why / how this has happened ?
If it is an option to change the colour of the titles, then that could be
useful for grouping files.

Keep with next
I have a problem with certain styles and Keep with Next. For example, I have
Heading 3, a numbered paragraph, set to keep with next. My next paragraph
style is called BT2.
When the text goes onto the next page, Heading 3 is kept on one page and BT2
taken to the next. The only way I can get round this is manually setting
Keep Lines Together.
Can anyone help, please?

Including Endnote references in book Index
Using Word 2002 in Windows XP.
I am able to mark (Alt-Shift-X) certain words in a book's endnotes as
entries to be appear in the book's index. However, I noticed that

Enhanced Metafiles in Word 2003
I copy and paste charts created in PowerPoint 2003 into Word 2003. The
charts are copied in as enhanced metafiles via the Paste Special command.
Sometimes I need to copy up to 10 of these metafiles into one Word document,
which I need to email to several people. The Word doc is huge! I tried
manipulating the chart in Paintshop Pro to reduce the size of the chart, but
