How to select here to [Find xyz] ??
I need to select all text from the current insertion point (curser location)
up to the next occurance of the text string "xyz" - on the keyboard. (I
want it in a macro eventually.) I can't seem to integrate the
Find (F3) function into the Select function. Is this possible?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Apostrophe is an exponenet
Every time I type the apostrophe, I get an exponent of 5. How do I change it

LOCKED
Microsoft word is locked. I am not able to type or do anything. I may have
hit the wrong key on the board but now Im stuck. It says its in "
compatiblity mode.

Display anomolies
Word 2007 has a lot of problems displaying tables correctly on the
screen.
I have a document open at the moment in 2 windows side by side, both
in draft view. There is a table in the middle of one page. The first
column is about .5" wide and had the title "Stage". In the left
window, the table is displayed correctly. In right window, the word
"Stage" is displayed on 2 lines like this:

Word 2003
I have a table with check boxes in the first column and "items required" in
the second column. I have protected the form so that users can open the
document in Word and click the box next to the items they require for their
particular project. All is working fine.
Now the users want an additional row in the table with a check box for

create new doc from template
This is only a very small niggle but I use Word mostly from my own templates
and when I fire-up Word, it starts off with a new, blank doc. When I open a
new doc from my templates, it opens as a second page and I do the business.
When I have finished, I save/close the doc I have been working on and I am
left with the original blank doc which I then have to close before I can
exit.

Lost icons
I am unable to type in word or any other program except for email. The
trouble that I am experiencing is the icons on the computer is not high
lighted for me to use. It has even stopped copying and pasting.
I am not computer literate so it needs to be broken down step by step for me.

uninstalling Works took Word with it ... general question
My wife's laptop came with Works preinstalled. I uninstalled Works since MS
Office was at a later date installed and which included Word. When I
uninstalled Works it took Word with it though the other programs included
with Office remained.
What's the best way to reinstall Office or just Word from Office - repair?

how do I unlock the selection?
I am on day 3 of a 60 day trial for Office 2007 (standard). I created the
document in 2003 on a different computer, saved it to a flash drive, then put
it on the new computer with 2007. It will open the document but not allow me
to do anything with it. It says that the selection is locked. How do i undo
this, and keep it from happening again with a new document?

UserForms
Doug Robbins provided a cool solution to a problem that encompassed using a
UserForm in Word 2003 (see Further Automation from 10/14). I have been able
to implement that with three Bookmarks and a bunch of Cross References.
I do have some on going problems. The problem is an occasional RunTime
Error #424 when the AutoNew macro runs. It doesnt seem to like the command

Error Copying File or Folder in Word 2007
I just use Word 2007 couple of month ago. Currently I am having an Error
Copying File or Folder message whenever I start using my Word 2007. The
message is "Cannot copy file: Cannot read from the source file or disk".

Printing 150 pg doc
I have created a doc in my 2007 Office, Home/Student that I want to have
printed at Staples or Office Depot. I have loaded the compatibility pack and
saved the doc as 97/2003, as the printer does not have 2007. The doc will
open but the text is jibberish. (Best Buy Geeks got the same results in three
different computers). What's the problem? CS at MS was unable to resolve the

Word Document Pasted to Outlook sends unusual characters

How can I set Office to save documents in the current folder?
I do not like the default location MS uses for saving files (deeply nested).
Instead, I have a "Data Files" folder directly under C:\, and I create
folders there for my documents. I have set Word to open to the correct
folder, but I have found that when I save or "save as" a document, it often
ends up in the nested folder established by MS. How can I change this so

Footnote Question
Word 2007

I have inserted a footnote reference that has 5 paragraph (carriage returns
for those who remember typewriters) that precede it.
I cannot delete those paragraphs that precede the footnote.

re-installing microsoft office small business 2007 after crash
I had the repair shop back up everything on my laptop before running restore
disc. Everything is back to original now, but I don't have microsoft works

am not certain I quite understand the answer to my first question.
