I have to say I want to begin Inking in order to be able to draw

line # of text / the cursor position in inches
In previous versions of Word, I could look at the bottom of the screen and
see the position of the cursor by line number and by inches. I have been

If so, where can I find that information?...

Email has no footer (Word2003)
I'm running Word (part of Office2003) on a Vista Home Premium PC.
I have a document template that has a footer containing a disclaimer - so
important it appears with the main body of the document. However, if I hit
the email icon on the toolbar and send the email from within Word only the
main body text is sent, the footer (and same goes for headers) is not shown
at the recipient's end....

How do I implement home made 'font'?
I have a number of objects, created in PowerPoint, one for each of the
characters a>z, A>Z and 0>9.
I want to make it possible for a user to be able to type as normal and have
the individual characters replaced with the corresponding object,
effectively an alternative font.
What is the best way to go about this?

Another Find-and-Replace question. Help appreciated
I have a document in Courier New in which some sentences are separated by
two spaces after the full stop and some by one.
I want to reformat it so that *all* full stops are followed by two spaces,
but I can't work out how to do it. I can't simply search for "full stop +
space" and replace with "full stop + two spaces" because the sentences that
are already separated by two spaces will ...

thin blue lines
In an earlier post I indicated that some words in MSWord were surrounded by
rectangles composed of thin blue or red lines. None of the responses seemed
on target.
Some additional info: if I rest the cursor on one of these words, a little
square box appears with a circle and an "i" inside of it.

How can I remove all "Bold" commands from a document?
I hate to post what I'm afraid is a very basic question indeed, but for some
reason I can't find the answer.
How do I strip out all "bold" commands from a document but leave the text
unchanged?
My experiments with Find and Replace have so far always affected the text,
usually by removing some emboldened words altogether.
I'm using MS Word 2000. Many thanks in advance for any assist...

Multiple copies of Word Fillable Forms
Is there a way to transfer information keyed to a Word fillable form to
subsequent copies of the same form with different footers? For example, we
need to send out an insurance policy form with the same information on every

footer (i.e. Insured's copy, Broker's Copy, Producer's copy, etc.) I know
