Be Gone Mini Toolbar!
In Word 2007, is the 'mini toolbar' that little toolbar that appears above the context menu when right clicking on selected text? If so, I can't seem to get rid of it.
In Word Options I removed the check mark from 'Show Mini Toolbar on selection'...but that little toolbar still shows up! How do I get rid of it?

why asterik (*doc or *docx) in save types
My save types roots did not use to have asterik before .doc (*.doc), only
..doc. But few months ago I noticed that all the saving options have got (*)
asterik before .doc, and this only appears on my deskstop word documents NOT
on my laptop word documents.
Is there any reason for this? Please help...

Grammar choices won't stay "fixed"
I often choose to ignore items that the program marks as grammatically
incorrect, telling the program to ignore once. It works as long as I'm
working on the document, but if I close and re-open the document the same
grammar markings are there again, and I have to do the same work all over. Is
there a way to make the program realize that once I've approved an "error"
not to mark it again?...

Opening a Doc
Office 2007
Occasionally when opening a saved doc (old or new format) Word opens, but
not the doc. This has to be opened via the Orb.
I'm not able to pin down any particular circumstances when this intermittant
irritant occurs (docs opend from within Documents folder)
Any thoughts?

Use monospaced fonts-Word 2007 keeps changing font

I select the "David"font. As soon as I hit any key then the font is =

removing text encoding features
When I am moving information from a file I converted to Word2007 from
WordPerfect into another Word2007 document, a heavy dotted horizontal line
appears. It also shows up when the file is printed. I worry that this line
will also move to a text I write on the basis of this latter file. It's also
just really irritating to see these lines throughout the document. Please

macro problem
word will drive me crazy... I am being patient not to throw the keyboard or
break the office cd...
I use word 2007. Whatever the document is, I always encounter a macro
message when i open a word document.
I enabled all macros and so on in the trust center etc...
Nothign worked.
I try to write an equation and word gives me a macro warnign message every
time I press a key.

Word 2007 Blog Posting
I want to use the blog posting feature of word to post blogs on my window
live space page i follow the registration process but i keep getting an error
message that word cannot register your account. Can anyone help with this

Quick Print in Word 2007
I've been able to customize my Word 2007 Quick Access Toolbar to include
Quick Print, but I can't find a keystroke combination that will do the same.
Is there one? I know that CTRL-P will bring up the Print dialog box, but
that's not what I want.

Installing Windows 2007
I received a cd to install Microsoft 2007 from my husband's IT person at his
firm. I installed it, but it tells me to enter a product code which no one
has, The IT guy tells me to uninstall and re-install using "new install" but
it's not giving me that option. any suggestions?

prevent a line break between 2 words
Hi,
I want to prevent a line break between 2 words. Is it possible? That is, I
want Word to treat the 2 words as a connected entity and make sure they are
always on the same line. I checked the document but didn't find any feature
I can use. This is a common feature in other word processors.

File In Use Is a Template
I am using Word 2007 (12.9.6324.5000) with Service Pack 1 MSO
(12.0.6213.1000) on a Windows XP Prefessional Version 2000 machine with
Service Pack 2 and logged into a Novell network (Novell Client 4.91 SP4
for Windows, version 4.91.4.20070720).

Configuring MS Office Enterprise 2007
I run Vista and just upgraded from Office XP to Office Enterprise 2007.
Everytime I open a Word file I get a window that quickly pops up and says
"please wait while setup prepares the necessary files". Then the window
quickly disappears and a new window opens that says "Configuring Microsoft

Setting Draft Quality in Print Options as default

When opening a document, or creating a new document, the view is always less
than 100% - its seems to be around 75%.
How can I set a default to always open at 100%?

The sorting of sentence tool in word document is missing
In the allighment tool bar there is no sort tool what to do for the better

Spelling and Grammar question (Word 2003)
My spelling and Grammar seem not to be working.
It has told me before that it is in Dutch (?). Not sure why, possibly
because I communicated with a Dutch friend a long time ago and he send to
me information, etc.
Now, when I try to do a spell check of my English wittings I get dialogs
that the spell check has finished, etc., but the misspelled words are still

Missing fonts?
Hi,
Using Word 2007 SP1 with Windows WP SP3, all in Spanish
I cannot seee more fonts rather than the title and the body ones
here is what I see (note Todas las fuentes is All fonts)

What is the small black square in the left margin?
In my word document, I have tracking "on" and when I select "final" the
change mark does not appear in the right margin. I noticed that my other
document that shows the change marks has small black squares in the left
margin (with paragraph marks turned on). I think this needs to be turned on
in my new document but I don't know where to find it. How do I turn these
