Saving Styles
I am trying to save some styles I created so that they show up in an existing
document. I saved the styles as a new template and can access them when I use
the template, but I can't access the styles when I open the document I am
trying to apply the styles to. How can I get Word to show the styles I
created when I open the document I need to modify? ...

EditCopyasPicture Shortcut
I'm a shortcut kind of gal. I was looking through the "Customize Keyboard"
dialog box to see if there were any I'd like to add to my very long list.
EditCopyasPicture looked exciting so I created a shortcut for it.
While trying out my newfound shortcut, I pasted the copied paragraphs as a
Microsoft Word Document Object. The result was as expected. Then I thought
I'd see what happens...

Hi,
I am trying to find the option in word 2007 for "store random number
to improve merge accuracy".
the help was less than useless and i even went as far to install
something called "search commands" which apparently allows you to
access all commands by searching - no luck there either :-(
does anyone know where it is please?

Saving As freezes office Word,Excel, Powerpoint..etc
Hello,
I have a problem I have never come across with Windows. Any time I
open a Word, Excel, or Powerpoint my office application hangs for a
couple of seconds (10-15 secs) It only does this when saving to a
network drive. I would fault this to the network but it just so
happens that this only happens on one computer on the network and that
is this particular PC.

I've downloaded Microsoft Office and it's activated according to the
instructions I followed. But for the live of me, I can't find WHERE the
program is. It's not on my desktop. I was able to view a video on "how
to", but can't find where it is. Can anyone guide me? HELP!...

How do I stop Word from maximizing docs besides the one I'm openin
I don't know if Word 2007 is made to work this way, or if there's an easy way
to configure it so it doesn't do this, but I can't seem to figure it out.
Whenever I have a doc(s) already opened and minimized on my taskbar, if I
open a new Word doc, the previously minimized doc will maximize before the
new doc opens over top of it. It makes a real mess when I've got multiple

Word 2007 - Table of Contents
I've successfuly created a table of contents in Word 2007, but I can't get it to work properly:
1- If I try to click on a page number, the whole table becomes shaded and I don't go to the page in question.
2- If I click on or near a heading my table becomes surrounded by a blue rectangle with a tiny toolbar on the top left. Only way to get rid of it is to close the document and re-open it.

Sourcecode style
Hi
I often paste sourcecode from Visual Studio into Word, however I'd
like to change the font and fontsize, so I created a new style
'SourceCode', however it seems like no matter what I do, the style
insist on changing the FontColor to Black....how to make the style
stay away from the FontColor ?

Publish from Word 2007 to a Blog
Do you have any idea what the limitations are for publishing a blog
entry from Word 2007?
Every time I try to publish a file that is about 8000 words long with
embedded tables, Word sends a report back to Microsoft.

All documents have locked. How can I unlock?
I can no longer open new pages or modify existing files. A message flashes
that I cannot modify because the document is locked. All my documents are
like that. I'd worked with them earlier in the day with no problem. Why did
this happen and how can I unlock my documents? I use my laptop with Word
only; it is not used for the internet. I have had this laptop for two months....

How to AUTO-update special fields like "Document title"?
I inserted into a Word doc a special field like Document Title.
When I change now the document title in File->Properties->Summary->Title
then the just inserted fields remains unchanged. Currently I have eplicitely to
clcik the contet menu "Update field" to let become the new title visible.

Diff. change headline in "Formatting" or "Outlining" toolbar?
Assume I have marked a line in a Word 2003 doc. Currently at least two toolbars
are displayed:
- Formatting
and
- Outlining
What is now the difference between changing the currently marked line
a) in toolbar "Formatting" from Normal->Heading 2
or
b) in toolbar "Outlining" from "Body text" to "Level 2"
From my point of view it is always the same result.

How to find out the toolbar name?
When I look into the toolbar of Word 2003 I found lots of icons and toolbars.
Is there a way to find out the name of a certain toolbar WITHOUT using the trial and error
way by toggeling on and off all the toolbar sub menues of menu view->toolbars?

Headers not Printing properly
Hi. I am using word 2007. I have a document that has headers when printed
are all jumbled and letters inserted in the header. In the print preview this
does not appear. I have tested on another printer and It prints fine.

broken word, excell, powerpoint icon
Hi
Documents created in Word, Excell, Powepoint 2007 that are saved on my
computer, or appear as an
attachment in email, do not show as a Word, Excell, Powerpoint icon. I have
Windows Vista installed, with all the updates.
I normally dont have any problems with openning of those file, but icons are
broken.

I can't send attachments from word 2007
....the email option is greyed out so I can't select it.
If I try and attach the files on windows mail they look like they have
attached but then when I send it says the attachement could not be sent.
Help - have a file I need to send tonight!

wont disply the number zero
I am formating a field and it wont disply the zero's in my entry..
eg K000123 display's as K 123.
I have no idea how to change this and any help is appreciated.
I am in design view and select properties of the "cell" and edit what I need
there.

How can I resize clip-art?
I want to use clip-art in a church newsletter. At present, I am trying to
insert clip-art inside a text box and resize the clip-art. It was simple to
insert within the text box and include text underneath it. However, I have
not been successful in resizing. I do not want to use the handles because
that distorts the image. How can I resize (preferably by typing an actual
