Changing background colors for each page in a 2003 document
I can change the backgorund color for the whole document......How about
changing the colors for individual pages within the document?

Dragging or moving outline items?
In other wordprocessing programs we can drag or move individual outline
items to other sections of the outline without using cut and paste. In most
cases, the user simply grabs the outline number and drags the selected
outline item to another section of the outline. Is there a way to
accomplish this in Word 2007?

Word Tables
Word2007
Is there a way to cut a a section of cells out of a Word table and paste
them into another part of the table or paste them into a different table?
I want to redesign an existing table by either modifying the table or
creating a new table and pasting in parts of the existing table.

Move to Next or Previous Page
I use Word 2007. In Word 2003, CTRL + PageDown would take you to the
top of the next page and CTRL + PageUp would take you to the top of
the preceeding page. These shortcut combinations in Word 2007 take you
to the next and previous edits. Does anyone know the shortcut keys in
Word 2007 to move by page? Thanks,

Index creation and related in MS Word 2007
I had some experience with word 2003. However, I'm lost with the new
version. I have written close to 150 pages of a small book I'm wiriting.
Now, I can't get the document to create an index, nor can I get a
bibliography created from my footnotes. None of the auto features seem to
do what I thought they were supposed to do.

I get this message in 2007 Word. When I e-mail doument , this message
appears when the person I send it to tries to open.

Delete alteration history
I have Office 2003 running on XP (SP3). I want to delete the alterations
information from a Word document before sending it out. I downloaded the
Office 2003 / XP Add-In Remove Hidden Data, but I can't get it to work.
It shows as an add-in under Tools | Add-Ins and I have adjusted the
Security information under Tools | Options | Security as per the

Do I have to use the compatibility pack to work with 1997 Word?
I have lots of files in my 1997 Microsoft Word program. Must I download the
compatability pack to work interchangebly with it and the new 2007 version I
have bought? The online instructions only refer to 2000-2006 versions, and
not the 1997 version, which came with my computer....

Style Pane in Word 2007
In one of my Word 2007 templates, I have the Styles Pane set to show
recommended styles (Options, bottom of pane); the sort order is "As
Recommended." But not all styles that are given number 1 (in "Manage
Styles") are shown (numerous table styles), and other styles below

always include path in filename
Is there any way to always have the path shown in the filename when you open
a document in Word 2007? (My computer runs WinXP SP3.) I copied Jay's lovely
path macro back in October, and it works--but only on one file at a time and
only during that session. Once the file is closed and reopened, the path is
no longer there.

Add-ins menu
Hi,
I have a query related to MS word (2007) document menu options. In
administrator login, Whenever i open a blank MS word document Add-ins menu
appears in the tool bar along with the other menu's like Home, insert, page
layout,view, review etc. The same does not appear if i log in as any other
user.

Word 2007 add new envelope size to envelope options
Can a new envelope size be added/inserted into the "Envelope Options" to
bypass the need to enter a 'Custom Size' or, as I have custom sized envelopes
for single and mass mailings of cards/inserts, how is best saved and
