Problem with my Word.....
I cant start writing at the left top of the "paper" as I normaly does.
The marker is in the middle left of the "paper" and goes from there.
I have uninstalled my Office and reinstalled it again with no luck.
The problem is still there.

Headers and Footers
Hello
I use Microsoft Office 2007 and i am the process of typing my
dissertation. i would like to have different headers and footers
within the same document, i cannot seem to be able to do it as the The
headers and footers seem to contunue on to the next document.

Problem with apostrophe's and smart quotes.
I have a problem with an apostrophe in a numbered style that insists on
terminating the apostrophe as a quote string.
The style includes text that has a apostrophe. "Chef d'accusation n :". The
user chooses the style and types "Reason A", Since next style is the same,
the user can type
"Reason B<CR>Reason C<CR>Reason D"
What is expected is:
Chef d'accusation 1 : Reason A

Header-Macro-Word 2003
I have created (by recording) macros to insert Headers into new documents.
There are nine altogether. Each Header has a different logo (Inserted as a
jpg), appropriate text is typed, etc. My problem is drawing a line, that
starts at a given point on the ruler (assume 2.25 inches) and is terminated
at a point somewhere to the right (assume 5.5 inches). I obviously can not

Table of Contents Help - new user
Hi-
I have never used Word's TOC feature before. Mine is a simple one with
Heading 1 applied to all the things I want in there - when I go to insert the
TOC, I get what to me looks like gobbledygook (code?) and not the actual
text. Yet if I try to copy and paste it into this message to show you, it
copies the correct text (my screen shows {TOC\O "1-3"\H\Z\U} )
What am I doing wrong? Than...

Where do documents go when you hit "replace existing file"?
By mistake, I clicked on an existing document to open and got three choices,
including replace existing file and merge into another,...... I hit "replace
existing file" and now the file is missing completely. Is there a place I
can go to on my PC or way of finding it--or has it been totally deleted/wiped
clean?

How do I change the Horizontal Line default?
When I insert a horizontal line in Word 2003, it always inserts a
line that I have to change every time I start a new document.

Tools > Letter and Mailings > Envelopes and Labels then looking for the
Avery tab?
Am sure it must be hidden within Word 2007 but where.

new install of word 2007
I just installed the 60 day trail of word 2007, a document comes up but will
not allow me to type anything on the page. the message in the left hand
corner says This modification is not allowed because the section is locked.

Change Case Word 2007
I just noticed that the Change Case button in the Font group on the Home tab
doesnt work to change the case to Title Case (they call it "Capitlize Each
Word). Is this a known problem or just on my installation

How to insert page number X of Y ?
We want a footer that includes "Page X of Y" where X equals the page number
and Y equals total pages. The problem, however, is that our footers often
already exists and includes a fair amount of custom design work. In our
experience, selecting a page number from the gallery with the proper format,
replaces the existing footer.

why can't i send doc by email
i can send by fax but not even allowed the option of sending a word doc by

Note function as seen in Adobe Acrobat
I am looking to create the 'note' feature of Adobe Acrobat where text can be
added to a panel and reduced to an icon on an existing page of a document.
When the icon is clicked the window launches to display the separate text.
Does such a feature exist in Word 2003 or can it be customized to offer
something similar. Guidance sought....

.doc extension appears in Open box
This is strange.... switched on the PC today and for some reason when I go
to open a document in Word (Office2003) or Works the document title appears
together with the file extension (i.e. .doc .wps etc).
Although not a big issue, it is nevertheless irritating and I can't see why
it should suddenly start doing this, when I switched off last night I didn't
get the extensions - how do I ...

Word 2007
Word has been working fine up until yesterday. Now, I can't get the cursor
to show on the document anywhere. The document is fine (tested on another
computer) and the mouse is working fine as the cursor works on Excel and
other programs. For some reason, I can't use the cursor to cut and paste.
