Maintaining Formatting between Excel and Word
I have data in Excel 2007 that is set to automatically round to two decimal
places
and maintain currency formatting, but when I merge it into Word 2007, that
formatting is lost. Is there a way that this number formatting can be
maintained when merged to Word 2007?
I used to check the (confirm conversion at Open) box in the general options
on previous version. Any ideas?...

how to map mailmerge fields?
hi,
I added a csv-file as DataSource to a Word Document (I'm using VSTO, C#
and Word 2007), which worked fine. Now I was wondering, how I can map
the columns I declared in the first line of the csv-file to the fields
Word uses for mailmerge?
I tried to use MappedDataFields, but whenever I tried to write to a
MappedDataField.DataFieldName it tells me that this property is read-only?

Hello,
I am trying to set up a document and I need it to ignore a record with a

I get 'object cannot be found' msg when I try to send outlook e-mail via word
or excel. I have an AOL acct that I have set up to work w/ outlook and when
I try to send a message and my word/excel sheet it tells me the message
failed and that an object cannot be found. Does anyone know what that is

Can I build a form that can be completed using a letter merge?
I would like to put together a form where a letter merge can be used to
complete the fields. The main problem is that I would like to lock down the
remainder of the conmtent so users cannot change it. I need to use the
letter merge because often times users need to fill out the forms for 20+
people at a time....

MailMergeBeforeMerge Event bug
As of Word 2003 SP2, the MailMergeBeforeMerge Event doesn't appear to be
triggered when MailMerging from the toolbar. Apparently, it doesn't get
triggered via automation either. It only gets triggered via the Task Pane.

How do i get each label on a page of merged doc to be different?
I am merging an excel spreadsheet into an existing label template. There are
6 labels up on a page. I get the same 6 names on the entire page instead of

Mail merge 2000, 2003 difference...
Hi,
I am using a CSV generated by another company and the CSV has many
address fields including Name1 and Name2. When using Mail merge 2000, I
specified that they should be on a separate line and if Name2 was blank, Word
2000 would ignore it and place the rest of the address info below Name1. Now

printing envelopes
I have a large document of 500 contacts culled from 3000. They were not
grouped in Outlook unfortunately, and the document was originally created as
a label merge. Is there any way I can then use that document to print
envelopes? I am trying to avoid having to go back through Outlook.
I hope I explained that right.

Using MERGEFIELD "If-then-else" with part of a string

Excel columns missing for Mail Merge
In my Mail Merge document, I'm selecting a few columns from an Excel
spreadsheet, but when I go to More Items to select the columns I want, one of
the columns that I need is missing from the list. Any ideas on what I should

label using Next Record If
I am trying to create a label that catalogs student information. I want to
go to the next record if the ID number changes. First line I have and ID
number, Last name and First name. The second line I have inserted a table
where I have four fields. My excel file have multiple lines with the same ID
number (same person) and I want a list of the information that pertains to

Hi all
I would like to be able to automate a mail merge of records/documents one by
one so that I can get notifications of things happening
I see in the Word 2003 Object model there are events for MailMergeAfterMerge
and DocumentBeforePrint

I have mailmerged from Word to Outlook many times before without problems. No

Large dollar amount switch
In one of my merge documents, I use the \*DollarText field switch to format
the dollar amount in words. It has worked fine until now, but we just got a
dollar amount over $1 million and I'm getting an error because the number is

Repeating a record
Hi--I"m trying to print out labels to use on cartons. The data source is an
excel spreadsheet. I would like to repeat printing a label (a record) a
number of times based on a value in the spreadsheet. For example--in the

W2K: labels thrown "out of whack" when cell or table margins changed? How to fix ... ?
I absolutely must have cell margins that are at about 0.05" around the
insides of Avery-sized labels #5167. Before changing the margins, the pages
of labels are aligned and positioned correctly. The instant I change them
